  1. Did read about them but thought they might be a bit OTT for my use but would get them if they are supple enough form this sort of work. Would be great to have a pair of them come hedglaying season.
  2. Funny you should say that Chris as thats how I did the last hour today but it's very cumsy trying not to pull out the wrong thing with fingures as thick as a drainpipe
  3. Been using an old pair of welders gauntlets and after a couple of hours the gloves seams have blisterd my hands making the job less than enjoable. Got loads more to do so would be nice to have a a pair of comfy gloves for the rest. Need the backs protected as I have to wrap the brambles around my hand to get enough purchase to rip them out. Thanks
  4. Had a chat with Jim at Riko about this and he reckoned it would be fine to disconnect the oil feed line from the main tank and add your own oil tank which you could fill with rapeseed. Keep meaning to do this to mine just not got around to it.
  5. Hmmmm Maybe drone technology is not such a good thing. https://www.youtube.com/embed/SNPJMk2fgJU
  6. woody woodpecker beat me too it. National Charity re-homing commercial laying hens and encouraging support for British farmers Liz says they have collection points all over the country so hopefully something near you. Happy Birthday
  7. Very smart bench Clive
  8. I like the carved in bowl. Very Allan Peters esc
  9. Depends how they're stored. We dry billets stacked up on pallets with the billet direction alternated between the rows to improve air circulation. It takes a fair bit more than a cube stacked like this to make a cube of logs but couldn't put an exact figure to it. Also depends how straight your billets are as a bit of bend over 1m billet creates a BIG air gap. Ahh re read your post and you're storing in bundles. Don't think you going to save much space and you're going to make a fair bit of extra handling doing billets.
  10. They look pretty slick [ame] [/ame] What sort of money does something like that cost?
  11. They have arrived in force here now Hope your lot turn up Kevin
  12. Absolutely. One of the joys of selling logs is burning all the carp yourself
  13. Not the best Jon. It's pretty light and is gone in a flash. Better than shivering though
  14. I am not normally one for gadgets but that looks the dogs danglies Not crazy money considering what it does. Thanks for posting TCD Hmmm now how can I justify buying one?
  15. Not all mine but it made a nice picture.
  16. Our local supplier will do a 500litre delivery and told us the tank does not have to be bunded if it's portable. On the oil company's suggestion I just picked up an IBC that was in good nick and it has proved an excellent fuel tank. From the maths you posted at the start 500 litres should fit the bill.
  17. That's filth Dean Phwaaaar
  18. Horrible Raining stair rods and just spent the last hour unloading a lorry load of IBC crates with a tractor with no cab
  19. Had a play around and the only thing I can see it does is open the valve for the grab. No idea of the purpose of this. There is a cable into the RH stick but no switch on it. Never mind it all works fine for my needs without the electrics.
  20. Bit far off that up here on the moors and organic so no chemicals
  21. Miserable morning here with drizzle and then the afternoon has been like a perfect summers day. Grass is loving it.
  22. Or an epic snowstorm?
  23. Nor have we yet Link would be good
