1.
Hello Steve, I have loads of powerline clearance work if you are interested (its not everyones cup of tea) and it is around your area (Bridport, Lyme Regis). You would need to get a couple of tickets though. I will give you a call tomoz. My number is 07713563374.

2. That's a fair bit of snow Ted. Bet you guys deal with it better than we do though!!
3. That looks pretty good. I have done similar in that I have tied strop to same part of handle and then fed through the clip. I will be changing it to something similar to you now as that looks a lot better. Thanks for taking the time to post pics Gerbutt.
4. No I rarely drop it, but on occasion it has happened. Because the clip has pulled out once it is now weaker than originally.
5. Cheers mate I would appreciate that.
6. How do you find the powerpack armchair, is it fast and powerful enough?
7. As you have said, tyres!! I would get decent ones, they will be better off road, quitter on the road, get a better mpg and because you will get a lot more miles out of them, they will be cheaper in the long run. BFG's are very good.
8. I think the art positioner is a good price and would get one tomorrow if I didn't have 2 grillon's. Still tempted though! I have been using the grillon, which I like, for a long time and it is pretty much second nature.
9. I have been through several threads but cannot find the answer I am looking for. It is fairly well known that the saw strop clip on the 150 can fail as mine did not long after getting it. I now tie the strop to the bottom of the front handle (near starter cover) and then thread it through the clip at the back which works fine but is not ideal. How have other people combatted this problem?
10. How have you backed up the strop loop Gerbutt?
11. That's some nice quality spruce you have then county 764.
12. Understand that, same reason I've not got one Shane.
13. What about an Iveco 5.5 or 6.5 tipper? Not sure if they are exact weights but somewhere handy.
14. I use a flat file, is this not correct then?
15. It should be fine. You can have up to 3 missing even if they are in a row. This is the 'official' for want of a better word, amount, but I dare say you could get away with more missing.
16. I have an 08 ranger which I have had from new. It has been a good motor for me with not any major issues apart from a self inflicting one!! I have done about 115k which includes towing the 1200kg schliesing a lot. Not bad off road, same as any other of these types, hi-lux, l200 etc, though does not have elec diff lock. I also had an 06 ranger which was probably a better motor work wise/built, but not nearly as comfortable to drive. The 08 one is much better on fuel, with less revs at same speed. If I was to choose between the 2, I would go for the 08 but any sensible person might go for the 06. I would steer clear of the Navara's.
17. Defo thin. If you're not sure what you are doing I would suggest getting some advice. Line or selective thin, how much?
18. I have a fair amount down the yard in cord length about a year or so old. Cross cut and split on the fresh cut and it splits a dream.
19. Hi Philip, I did not mean to sound flippant or dismissive with my original post. You say you had your flip line and lanyard around the pole which is good (2 points of attachment) and imo a good way to start, simple and basic. Perhaps have your main line as the second point of attachment, this is very common. Do make sure that you have your mainline on you at all times as this give you a connection to the ground and more importantly another form of rescue. Good luck. Have you been trained in cs38 & 39? Darrin, that is a neat little pack, very tidy.
20. Like the trailer with the high sides 18 stoner.
21. I can't see why you would want to pHilip, sounds like you used the correct technique.
22. Are they at Lydlinch by the bridge there Mat?
23. The idea behind a compact is that I can tow on a trailer to site to work. My logs are kept 6 miles from home, so could tow there too. My thinking was to run a splitter from the pto as I believe a tractor of that size will not run a splitter much kop from the hydraulics, please tell me otherwise as my knowledge of tractors, hydraulics, 3pl etc is minimal.
