  1. As you know, Bob had his own unique way of teaching with vast knowledge and good humour. When did you attend Newton Rigg. Apologies to the op for slight derail.
  2. A book I shall have to purchase. Thank you MrPaul
  3. Bob Watson lectured me tree and plant biology at Newton Rigg College, guess it has to be the same guy. When was it published?
  4. Have you seen the film 'pay it forward'? Good film.
  5. Is that from treestuff? I think these look really good, versatile and light.
  6. Nice that Weetabix have gone back to wrapping the biscuits in paper and not that awful plastic they've been using for some time. Keep up the good work craig.
  7. Semi-lunge or camp work position haha........ You even got the hedge lunging Graham.
  8. That crane looks Enormous. Nice vertical lunge..
  9. Hi Karl, Landpower Machinery are TW dealers and repairers and sure do refurbs. They are based in Templecombe, Somerset, 01963 370752. Google them, they have website etc. I have purchased chippers and used them for repairs etc and they are very good and professional.
  10. I do enjoy watching your vids Reg, you make it look effortless. How do you find the x rigging rings?
  11. Nicely worked Rich. Some people can make tree work look so simple.
  12. A chap round this way chopped the end of his finger off on a machine at work, a couple of months later he had to rein act it with hse present and cut the end of his other finger off! I have heard of another story similar to this, but cannot remember the details.
  13. How do you use a jack?
  14. I find I suffer dry hands in the sun and wet hands in the rain!! Sorry, couldn't resist. On a serious note, Nivea for men is very good and are a lot of girly hand creams.
  15. Happy b'day mate
  16. Without knowing what type they are it is difficult to say if they are worth keeping or not. It would of course be worth sharpening and having another try. Try to get the angles correct (there is a second angle near the tip). If you can, get a set of correctly sharpened ones to copy and if possible, a guide also.
  17. Nice sharp chain
  18. quite likely
  19. It does. My guess is same as many others I'm sure..
  20. What spp of tree are they?
  21. Near Dean at mo jon mate.
  22. I'm not a fan of general grabbers. I found that you do not get many miles out of them and they are not particularly good off road. I have found BFG tyres to be very good. Although they are not cheap to buy, you do get a lot of miles out of them (far far more than the grabbers), which makes them cheaper in the long run. The AT's are nice on the road and not bad off road. The MT's aren't bad on the road and excellent off road. I would have thought you could get 4 for less than £500 + vat if you shop about.
  23. I love these ads and some of them do sell!!!
