  1. Use Photobucket to host pictures - piece of cake to use and totally reliable. Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket
  2. Large Print Books, Children's Books items in hemingway-ventures store on eBay!
  3. A copy of Strout (Diagnosis of Ill-health in Trees) went for £32 on Ebay yesterday. Try Hemingways (Ebay shop).
  4. I can see it from both sides - vehicles are entitled to use green lanes recorded on the definitive map as BOATs/RUPPs as was. This is the same as the bobble-hat brigade's entitlement to use footpaths recorded on the definitive map, and I don't see them keeping away when appropriateness is questioned. They claim BOATs weren't designed for modern vehicles, but then footpaths weren't designed with hordes of orange Goretex-clad ramblers in mind either. However, common sense demands that damage is minimised, land-owners are not inconvenienced and the law is adhered to.
  5. Has he got a painting in the attic?
  6. All other factors being equal, late 20s. No shortage of peer reviewed articles showing that. However, I'm 40 and I'm possibly the fittest I've ever been. That's because I train (a) more and (b) more intelligently than ever before, not because I'm at my peak level of receptiveness to training.
  7. Yep, see you there. Nowt wrong with a bit of rain.
  8. Pictures of the TRX kit I use here Gallery | Pictures of me as well, but we don't need to go into that...
  9. Google 'recruitment policy' - I'm sure some large public sector organisation will have theirs online. Cherry pick the bits you want.
  10. Yes - with a company called Sodexo. To be honest though, for a small firm a management company wouldn't be required. It's almost a no brainer as far as benefits go (to all concerned).
  11. I was half tempted to go along to the laser show (was at London Bridge at about 1800 anyway) but couldn't be arsed in the end. Doesn't look like I missed much...
  12. And there was cynical old me thinking that the students in Cerne would just use the accelerator for firing kebabs at each other at 99.9% of the speed of light
  13. Perrin & Ramage v Northampton BC [2006] EWHC 2331 Nuisance means actionable nuisance, not just an overhanging branch. Irrelevant that an alternative scheme, ie root protection, could also abate nuisance. I think this went to appeal though, and don't know what the outcome was.
  14. The professional advice I've had in the past is that using a work vehicle for travelling to and from work only (i.e. no going shopping, to the pub, on holiday etc) is a taxable benefit, and staff were taxed accordingly. However, this - http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/vans/vans-info.pdf - appears to disagree. My experience relates to 2003/2004, so maybe the law has changed.
  15. To be fair it was a pretty vague question in the first place! Try to be specific, it helps. Having said that, I'm sure anyone who was aware of any loosely arb related 'taster day' in N Yorks would have said something useful (as happened eventually).

    just beautiful

A friend of mine (who was killed in a bike crash 3 years ago) made beautiful guitars - here are a few of them: As played by Robbie (of Sly & Robbie) As played by John Martyn (my mate Paul on the left):

    Laser measuring

The Leica and the Trupulse are vastly more expensive than the Nikon. Is it worth paying the extra?
  18. You might want to have a read of BS 1377-2:1990 first, and maybe BS 5930:1999+A2:2010 Section 4 which specifies methods for field sampling. Or sub the work out to a specialist.
  19. I used to - on everything from grassland to heather moorland. Superb kit. Just don't get a cutter bar that's too wide to go in your trailer....
  20. Saw one snap once - it took all the paint of the rear cross-member on the Land Rover it hit, but luckily no people were stood in the way.

    Fall Guy

Much coolness. Oh yeah What was the girl called - Jodi?
  22. "We will cut down trees to the customers' satisfaction. Better than what the others do." There's a mission statement. And for the ex-military types, say it twice
  23. I'm going, should be good to see a few people for real
  24. One flew past me yesterday at face height - very impressive.
