  1. Hey Paul, Is that Scott 'I don't smoke whilst working' smoking..... but there again he's not working again!!! Steve
  2. Yes, then I washed and pressed your chainsaw trousers!
  3. I see you're up then!!! ready for a bit of 'ringing'
  4. Hi Stephen, just one more..... The house took a battering on most corners. The tree was applying pressure in 3 points so it was little-by-little until the compression had been eased. Really nice young couple, husband spent time this afternoon carrying quartered rings out. Just tidying left in morning to be done. Little Steven
  5. Hi there! Just a little something to start the day...... When they built the very nice extension where the access was, they did not think to check the condition of the Beech tree! We managed the brash over the left roof level. Rings through house. Little Steven
  6. P.M sent Steve
  7. Certainly not get far with just a gallon in the tranny!
  8. Used to video the the Professionals (complete with incapability lines) before going out on covert ops in Ireland to ensure we didn't miss any tactics..... Well we had learn from someone!
  9. Hi Dean, on a lighter note..... Its all your fault for bringing all this american steel into the UK and then displaying its weight and its maneuverability and encouraging the values!:001_tt2:
  10. Hi Dean. When I've finished with it as a chipper, I'm off to weigh it in! This also explains why I'm not getting 42mpg out of Landy except downhill! little steven
  11. Hi Eastern! never put the 150xp on weighbridge but it has to be 2.6t without spare wheel, fire ex's cones, tools etc, winch. Bandit's site does give you approx weights. Little Steven
  12. Hi Lumberjacks, I have a 150xp Bandit with a Perkins Turbo and it chews everything we put in it. I have just one chipper and it doesn't matter if its a 1" whip or conifer that is winched in, it just eats it! On Monday the stress control function activated, this is a rare occasion, it was conifer and it back off, then it just flew through. My machine is quite senior with many hours, and extremely solid. Everything still works perfectly. I would purchase another tomorrow without hesitation. Little Steven
  13. Gasket on exhaust side leaking, allowing turbo to boost, but no power. Are you getting lots of smoke?
  14. Never have, never would! work is hard enough to find without the thought of not been wanted back. As a working owner, my call, my loss or gain.
  15. and when I've finished with the trees, I go out safely and do roofing!
  16. Dean you message box is full.....hopefully all orders for chippers & grinders! Steve
  17. Brilliant!!! Maybe in due course, if there is any more you can share with us, it would be nice to how /where/when. For now, that news has made my evening... Little Steve
  18. Hi Mark, You would not have convinced me, that was the reasons for the bigger other machines coming along. I know how much the ones on the trailer were worth, I do know they would also have decimated the stumps but, that said, you've got to be able get at them! I like most, do a cross section of work. On looking through my 'job cards' at the stumps I've subbed I would have struggled with the vast majority of bigger machines. I watched for perspiration on Dean Embling and on the other Tree surgeon who was with me on the effort required to do the stumps.... not a bead, not bad from someone so unfit!!!!! Steve
  19. Been thinking of getting my own 'grinder' recently, like most normaly use Mr % and not have the myther of it all. Had a job cropped up, had to be done, had to be completed by close of play etc. Called Dean at Global, explained the situation told him I was not certain of size, style, power and ability. Immediately, without any pre-conditions on the day of work, at a time, Dean rolls up with trailer loaded with 'grinders' both Bandit & Vauxhall's.... We never even got the 'others' off the trailer, The little Bandit HB20 was maneuvered between skips and harris fencing and ate the stumps for breakfast. Off Dean toddles, still no promises,..... I for one will be the proud owner of a HB20 come next batch. Massive thanks to Dean, wine will be on its way! Nice to see, as with so many of Arb support. There are thoroughly nice guys out there who do go further than expected. Little Steve
  20. Hi CharlotteB Give Dean Embling a ring at Global Recycling a call 07730 000498 he will have some words that will assist you in your quest His company have lots of different things with teeth that produce a cross section of results. Steve
  21. Hi Jimthedog. Contact the manf/importers of machine with the serial numbers. This is a good source of history. Then call previous owners using details gained. Ask seller for its history, who, what, where & when. If its vague or not plausible, then why??? As you know, if you buy a machine with HP/or stolen, no matter how much you pay, its not yours. When I bought the Bandit from another tree surgeon, he told me me its history and that he bought from another tree guy (with name) When I called Global Recycling to check they gave its history with previous owners and parts/repairs and dates. I know persons will say this kind of comprehensive history may not be available, well then do you want it anyway??? Steve
  22. Maybe time for more trackers, I know it doesn't stop it going, but once the idea is out there then its a larger risk to takers & disposers of it..... oh and hand removal on conviction!
  23. Really sorry to hear this Jonny.... nice kit, would stand out parked up in sight or enroute anywhere. You would think that anybody buying this style of size/quality would be so careful that it would be difficult to offload. Steve
  24. Man 8.138 FAE dropside...payload 3k Steve
  25. Call Andrew or Caroline Lewis @ Proclimber in Abergorlech I'm sure they will make the Myth a reality! Steve
