  2. Hi Chris, sorry you seemed to catch it a bit in the previous pages. hope all goes well with whichever way you go..... Steve Ps; I do know of very wealthy window cleaners!!!!!!!!
  3. That works well for us too! 2 vehicles to the job, Landy & Ifor tt126, (with tacho!) Mog platform with towed chipper. (with tacho & white diesel!) Though does take up the street!!! 2.3t of payload in Ifor, 2.7tons of chipper on mog...... Takes a lot of worry out of overloading, stress off vehicles and owner!!! I don't think many on here would operate without the right tickets, then why operate a vehicle you know will be overloaded by coffee time. Ran a truck company for many years, nothing worse than seeing work been done by unqualified, or running illegal... does no good to the level playing field causes unfair differences on pricing. As mentioned you will not cause a change in the law, we must operate within it, guys on here have spent a fortune in time and effort to get HGV/CPC/'O' licensing, then further monies on 6/8/12 weekly's, then buying a suitable vehicle to do the job..... If you are overweight, then it is not suitable!!!! Sorry if this seems harsh on the 3.5ton owners, but not as harsh as VOSA will be! Steve
  4. Hi Arbwork, sorry to hear that the delemma continues! I obviously don't know of your pers insurance background or situation, I do know a little of motorhome insurance having had it for some 4 vehicles approaching 4/5 years. The main insurers do good policies at reasonble premuims, though they need to hear from us as owners what makes them feel at ease with the occupancy amount, who will and how it will be used, storage.... as per usual, it needs to be stacked in their favour. After much ado over use of my "home" who will use, drive, occupancy, milage and talking to all the main insurers, I realised that as long as it fits a certain criteria they will insure. If you think I can help, give me a ring. Have sent a picture of my office/home. The landy goes on the trailer. Steve 07813 041752
  5. Hi there! third year of using motorhome for living/work...... companys don't like too much of perm living in them (realy designed for occasional use). NFU have been the best, but I find it also helpful not to be too imformative and make sure you know what rules you are working too on claiming. NFU not into recovery options, but if that is a requirement if you are a Caravan club member then Green Flag do a good one. Steve
  6. Hi there! I have a 12" towed Bandit 150 that goes on my Unimog cherry picker and TD5 with 8m cube tipping trailer The above with 2 climbers/brash men all at 360.00 per day. Landy, trailer, bandit are ready to go.... unimog out of paint shop end of month. Give me a call if I can be of use. Steve.
  7. Started off wanting a camper..... it becomes very addictive!
  8. Hi there! I have a hydraulic one fitted on the Bandit 150.... Its a new unit to me, but the guys who have used it and seen it and in the know tell me its brilliant! It will take the "cart to the horse" if you put it under pressure without it been on the tow vehicle. The power is the redirected oil flow, so chip or winch. I understand that these are a very expensive option.... I reckon electric is the more reasonable option. The fairlead sits out on a arm, this lets the butt ends come to rest on the hopper, ready to be eaten! if you want to look or photo's give me a call..... Little Steven 0781 041752
  9. Hi there! do you happen to have a hydraulic winch for a mog in your back yard? Kind regards Steve
  10. Hi John, please give me a call, if you are still looking for work? Kind regards Steve 07813 041752
