  1. Can you remember if it was in the panels on & under dash or inline? Did a quick check today on main panels hoping it would be a simple one... Steve
  2. Crikey, with been challenged in leg & arm length it maybe quicker letting mine run out of derv!!! At the moment the odd time I've started it to shunt around yard I've stalled it in top. Was working fine before it went for exhaust system, hoping they havn't welded with batts connected or something like and done-it-in. Steve
  3. sounds like I need to come on a 'mog' course with you??? Steve
  4. Will check tomorrow..... just had new s/steel exhaust fitted through to exhaust brake... wonder if they have dislodged something???? Steve
  5. Yep, full air..... when you turn key off it kills dash displays, but not the engine. Steve
  6. Hi all you mechanicly minded and well informed persons, having a problem with a 1550 mog.... First symtom was flat battery after leaving it for a few days, initialy thought duff cell, then realised after charging light started coming on it was the alternator. Second symtom was not been able to 'key stop' the engine. Question, have I got two electrical problems at the same time, or is the alternator causing the second? The sparky removed the alternator this morning for a repair. I know when we refit we can see if the second fault remains, but thought I would see if anybody has a thought. Steve
  7. As they do in the Middle East..... plus it makes even using a top-handled very difficult!
  8. Hi there! had one for many years, at the moment 8 tractor units and 12 trailers on it.... If you have to go there, then make sure the extra hassle is worth it. Mine is a full International, so all the rules apply. It is slightly easier if you are on restricted, ie; moving own goods and not hire & reward. But on applying, planning permissions and conforming is still a requirement. Steve
  9. £120 p/day, as much coffee as he/she can drink, bonus if climber does more than expected. These guys make me a living, if there is more in it by the extra they put into it, then they share in it! Never been dissapointed, only amazed at the level of what they turn out. Steve
  10. Well done lads! Matty, Jimmy Saville would have been proud of you to have 'Fixed it' for Dave..... I know everybody on here is! Kind regards Steve
  11. I know were not there in person, Little John & I wish you all a good days felling. It will be the only tree job for miles that requires a parking attendant. Matty, when you have minute, don't forget the details for a contribution. Little Steven
  12. You always hurt the the ones you love!!!
  13. Hi Matty, Little John & I just returned fm courses in warm, wet wales. Just catching up on where you are with the gentlemans task. Yes of course I will donate. Please p.m me with how you want it (BACS/cheque etc) and any req details. As you appear to have it covered, I certainly don't mind helping with set-up/fuel expenses. If you don't mind it entering your account I can let you decide and divide. You choose and let me know.... Kind regards Steve
  14. Then please accept another £50.00 to be used as you see fit. The initial offer still stands if required. Steve

  16. Hi Mate! If the mog mewp with chipper is any use to you, its yours with two climbers for the task. Kind regards Steve
  17. Hows it going big boy?

  18. Yep, no fumes in bucket when working up close with it, little or no kick back. 13" bar on my CS06. 12" bar on on pole saw. Seen a few that are older, also maybe heavier & leaks. The above got sent from a utility arb company and they are good (expensive), but very light, even with the hoses. Steve
  19. I used L.F.E. insurance for my Unimog cherry picker..... The contact for plant/machinary is Ash Hastings 0116 284 6095 Steve
  20. Need to be ahead of schools/traffic, also I find the customer is still there for further questions..... if I arrived at 9am, then after paperwork etc its too late to start. What time do you leave the site then? I find arr at 07.30 and start clearing chip off road at 15.30 onwards if its a ongoing task acceptable...... on 'one offs' we try to finish task, ie; early or late.
