  1. Hi guys! Started as a Marine in 74 in Malta did selection and attached to "Bradbury LInes". Left Marines 82 (having never been back since 76)...Joined Parachute regt 5 hours laters, back... Back at now "Sterling" within the army. Left in 85 and ran specialist K&R teams around the world for the next 23 years. Did my Cs's and love it!!!!!!
  2. Hi there! mine as a lever for in/out for winch and a second lever for ether winch or tools. Will this mean I have different flow pressure for tools then? advice sought! Ps; excuse the winch operator, who is always napping! Steve
  3. When you buy new containers, for 120.00 pounds you can have anti condensation sprayed on the internal roof section..... it looks like artex! I have had mine some years, without one single drop of condensation. If you ring "Pentelver" I'm sure they would advise you to what the product they use. Steve
  4. If any one sees an 'ole moo' with a 200t dangling off a day-glow-green strop, give us a call. Meanwhile still looking for a new un before next week! More annoyed with myself, back at same address next week....just wondering about a little 'sting op'. If the culprit is a clever one and frequents this site, they/he/she better hope the authorities catch em before we do. Steve Ps; anyway, what would an old girl want with a T version????
  5. Yes Jnoon you are right about production. Hi Stihlben, Drop me a p.m or call with telephone number of that dealer if you would'nt mind. I can source a new one on ebay.... but concerned re; age/warranty. Thanks Steve 07813 041752
  6. Wishing the 200T was marked, but alas no! It was very dirty after been stood in water & shavings in platform bucket, though I think that doesn't count. Would'nt care but it was sharp...... Feeling good about first day out with new mog and then this put a right downer on it. Never mind.... Where's the dest deal on a new 200?????? Steve
  7. Hi Will, must be a day for top handles! Our 200t taken off the bed of Unimog mewp in Button Lane, Sheffield at 2pm today. We like you were roadside out of sight (helping pensioner through cones). No, before anyone ask I don't think she was a professional decoy. Steve
  8. That view is what it's all about!!!!
  9. Hi Billy, 100% agree with Nick..... ring the guy, ask him for the IFOR etched number, then ring Ifor. If he is upset, then why? If you buy a stolen trailer, it will never belong to you. The guy selling will not & should not mind a quick security check. (please make sure on collection the number he gave you is trailer you are collecting!!!) I bought mine fm a main dealer and still wanted registration confirmation.
  10. Hi Jonathen, because the framework of the original mesh sides is close & quite heavy this makes a very solid going on. We put the chequer inboard as the risen 'bits' offer additional protection against dings and dents. When I ordered the alloy, I got a lot of 6mm and I did contemplate using it for the trailer, but it realy didn't need it. The bandit blows chip in with no adverse effect and logs haven't dented so far! Each section uses up a 2m x 1m sheet to do it in one piece... the roof another 2 Not sat down with a abacus to work out the cube, but around 7+. Steve
  11. Les Botham who is selling the above Prevost also brought mine to the UK. I have had 3 large motorcoaches from him. He is a star to deal with. The one he has above advertised is brand new inside at 50k plus to do, He has receipts of 900k when new in 1991. A new Prevost can run to 2 million plus! Steve
  12. Thinking of fitting the Unimog mewp and the back! Steve
  13. Considering it weighs in at think end of 26t the 8mpg isn't that bad.
  14. Driving it is something else.... Stunning is the only way to describe it, It has a detroit V8 2 stroke pushing along at 500 hp. At the moment it it the only one on the UK road, though there is another at Dronfield awaiting a new owner. This one came to the UK in July last year. Even the Landy and trailer don't make much of an affect on it. Filling it up with fuel does make your mouth water also!!!!!
  15. Hi Littletree, living in a motorcoach can be fun...... It has lots of advantages, you can alter the way the living room faces!!! Steve
  16. Yes, nice pictures.... Heck I can remember them most of them were new! My bus coming up 30 years and still will do 70 mph and pull my landy on trailer.
  17. Hi, speak to "Slim Jim" makers of light weight tail lifts I think didcot/oxon way. If you manage it without o/loading the rear end and still carry a load you will be on a winner. Steve
  18. Round here the bridges are low, you would need single decker! Steve
  19. Hey John, must be four years+ that I've been living "on wheels" r u keeping warm & snug? Steve
  20. Hi Johnathen, those thingys you put in the drill bit and straight in. reckon its added a little to the tare weight, minus the mesh plus the box frame. Steve
  21. Came with mesh sides, ground them off, (pig-of-a-job). Laser cut 3mm alloy so each side lifts off as norm. built a frame on top again so it lifts off. The roof acts as stablisation so you dont need to use tail section and its still rigid.
  22. like mine and only snapped one spring hanger from jack-knifing into drive fully loaded.
  23. Hi there! that is awful and very wrong. 6 to 9.5 on 44ton dependant on engine size tare/gross/wind/body you need to be up around 15/17 again dependant on style of driving, body and of course weight ie; tare/gross loaded one way or both. if you on the m/way in top you should be ahead of the above. Steve
  24. Hi Global, not certain where that leaves you guys!!!! This machine is 13 years young, judging by its performance & build, you and I will be pensioners before i will need a replacement. I've owned it for the best part of a year. it doesn't matter if its a domestic job or site clearance it is brilliant. If I carry on, will you increase my credit level & send me a coffee mug! Steve
  25. Hey Little John, you ain't no spring chicken chicken ether!!! Steve
