  1. Tried that experiment with the clients mug today on the n/s wing.... there is no factor to speak of on the first right hand bend!!!! oops yesterday!
  2. Took a bad bang on head in September and been told that it will take over a year to recover, I can vouch for it makes you realise what is really important...... family & friends are what pulled me through and are still doing so! My sincere thoughts go out to you guys. Little steven
  3. 'Fronting' on your insurance is a really obvious move to a insurance company.. It is not a wise move. If you have a drama and the insurance company suspect or can show that you are the main driver of the set-up and your friend/family member have 'fronted the policy you will have a crisis!
  4. I've had the 'NGM' for sometime. It has been under the front wheels of a truck. Left out over a weekend on the floor in yard.....apart from the rubber cap that is removable for charging (removed by Scania tipper) its is like new..ish! Can be used has a lethal weapon, it weighs a ton! Steve
  5. You just need to to the Site safety test. You can buy the course on the tinternet, book a test on a on the same page..... multiple choices, realy easy-peasy!
  6. I couldn't see at that distance:thumbup1:
  7. It's freezing in the Peak District, my dog has past wind in Landrover and all I've got is a pen!!!!....... Are you there Dean????
  8. Hi Dean, Just couldn't get close enough with 7m outreach Managed the branches around the telephone cables, but that was about it. Steve
  9. Shame about the music, nice Mog.......Good work Paul!
  10. You have a lot more about you than the early story suggests! Take care fella and much look luck to you.....
  11. Can you imagine the wall of rules! It must seem a nightmare for the ones just starting in anything with decent weighted vehicles.... Its bad enough keeping ahead with each one has it appears..... I take my hat (off my nearly bald) head to any of the guys seriously trying hard and not just avoiding the minefield.
  12. Another one for you to think about.... If you order new vehicle with tacho, it will be digital (driver digi card required!) Retro fit use can still have analogue Glad I'm not just starting!!!!!!
  13. Dean, its about time someone put something serious on here....all this hairy fairy vosa/hmrc/vat/h&s light weight stuff ......come on guys, its about pens, jackets, energy drinks:biggrin: Yes, and enjoying life along the way:thumbup:
  14. Hi dig-dug-dan! Was stopped in a very large checkpoint local to home last week. Vosa,HMRC,Police, the whole 9 yards..... No problem with the landrover, the following were the areas they were homing in on; a) Tacho......The Landrover is the 3500kgs, so any trailer outside the exempt/home area is req. b) Derv...... non rebated c) Tyres..... Weight compliant & ply rated HMRC then went through a ruck of pers questions on me. They asked about my business operating, other vehicles, method of operating. They were informative & helpful. The off road vehicles (mog) was discussed at length and I was told the clamp down on red/no tacho/no 'O' licence/ are priority points on domestic usage. So be aware in Derbyshire!
  15. Bandit... They have pork sanrnies @ show! .....and there pens have filled in over 300 tacho sheets and still going!
  16. Hi Ross, how long is that for.... with or without operator? Regards Steve
  17. If you work from the last page ie; this one backwards its exactly the same as coming forwards.... I haven't got a clue whats going on. ... I need my pills!
  18. Paul, that should suit the Sycamore & Beech reductions:thumbup:.....well the second part anyway!
  19. The Beaver is a little under flowed, I believe JCB next size up is a 30ltr/min. The flows on the vehicle are spec'd to the saws (Versalift mewp hydraulic tool flow) these are at 30 approx and if I run the saws on them its still no where near a petrol. We have increased the revs on the flow and yes it better, but you would not be too happy with the pruning cuts. That said, the pole saw is for just that. Sorry that you aren't a little closer then you could try. I bought mine from the states and saved a little by doing so. If you are ever down this way and still have them in mind give me a shout. I would have thought that you didn't have too many people to upset in your location!!!!
  20. Alan, where abouts are you? If you want to look, try, listen then you are more than welcome. Steve 07813 041752
  21. Yes, its the JCB Beaver 20 ltr/min. The flows on vehicles are around the same.
  22. Hey Scott....you knew that was coming I bet you have heard it before on many subjects. 'When I was a lad' 'you don't know you're born'.... must admit I never thought I would ever be at this age to say the old folk sayings.
  23. Hey Graham, if you find the cure for that, I'll have a bag full!
