have you got any torque figures for this engine but they surely would'nt waste that design, surely it was the stepping stone for these mm-4 engines there using now
  13. shavey

    Dolmar

that i dont know off hand about the torque but i know the max power rating is less dolmar PS-7910 chainsaw 78.5cc 4.3kw - 5.9 ps dolmar PC-7614 power cutter 75.6cc 3.0kw - 4.1ps

the mm-4 engine is designed for 360 degree use it uses 80ml of engine oil and its fed around the engine via a patented makita dolmar system blown around by air with a non return check ball that stops the oil draining down from the upper engine when the machine is'nt in use they are quieter less emmisions and coupled with aspen very green but heavier is the another downside
  15. i have asked the suppplier i use to send on prices and availability for these bar studs and the cover plate with a smaller hole
  16. go on harvey treat yourself :thumbup1:

    Dolmar

yes fair point jon but weight would get alot of critisism from some corners dont you think could the 4-stroke saw be making an appearance in the future as the MM-4 engines are proving pretty good in the brushcutters and polesaws and concrete cutters

    Dolmar

hello yes it is a different part number for the spur sprocket the dolmar equivilant chainsaw is the PS-222TH and they do take the same bars but they only list the 25cm for the ps-222 in the carving bar where as for the ps-3410 they offer the 30cm and the 35cmm in the carving bar
