  1. Last picture the top cover has vents and it weighs 6.6kg P.H.O And the 380cd weighs 5.7kg without the starter housing
  2. thanks to everybody for your help its much appreciated i have bought loads and loads of saws good and bad , running and parts saws and most i can identify, these two models i was stuck with cheers
  3. thanks for the help chaps i have just rubbed off the crap and found a idenification plate and it says 380cd but on the other saw no ID plate

    that price for the makita is a fantastic deal it would be the same saw and they do a metal box but there are'nt any 50cc dolmar chainsaws at that price at the moment the PS-500 is approx £40 dearer :001_smile:

    i have never tried the DCS500 or the ps500 they call that model the farmers favourite .what do they cut like and are they well balanced :thumbup:

  14. hello this is a photo of something similar to what iam building at the moment on a old marshall 5 ton tipping trailer chassis it will be a few weeks before its finished but it will have a 44'' throat and 16ft bed a double ended bar with two big saws i thought f*** it lets go the whole hog

    the trouble with makita the prices are never on a level playing field prices are all over the place when you have all the big tool firms selling them alongside all the makita power tools i will stick with the step child of makita's that wont be turned into a bathroom colour :lol::thumbup:

  20. the makita had this model on pomotion its a super deal its the farmers model dolmar do this saw PS-500 the profi model in makita / dolmar is the PS5105 / DCS5031 ps- 500 orange top in dolmar dcs 5121 white top makita profi black top dolmar profi black top makita all the best with your new saws keep good oil and good fuel running through there veins

    hello in older models there where differences but in the new products range it looks like there is'nt any differences between the two brands apart from colour and model numbers but when it comes to saws prepared for markets outside of the EU there are differences but as Ian IC TREE'S says Dolmak makdol dolkita :thumbup1: a marriage made in japan :lol:

  23. hello i dont know how far you are from M.V.F in newton abbot but you can get creosote from them in 20ltr and 205ltr also you can get pressure treated creosote stakes from them batsford sawmills near longleat sell creosote fencing products calders&gundridge boston lincs top quality :thumbup:
