  3. iam the same never use the brake having had sachs dolmar saws for years all of them had bad chain brake design so never used them old habit's are hard to break:thumbup: brake :lol:

  12. they are around there's some lurking around in a few remote british woodlands a select few have been trying to re introduce them into the wilder more remote habitat we have called it the red squirrel project but it will take time as there so many grey's around :lol:

  20. i find the USA forums very good most people who collect old relics like me and have the same sort of passion are on the same wavelength and you can get the things your after i say with any forum you only get out what gets put in

  23. well put dolmar oem parts are the way to go i had sachs dolmar 70cc engine give up and looked at the 133 85cc genuine parts and also the 85cc copy and they werent so well refined so went for genuine and havent looked back since another point when buying a replacement the 6401 7301 7901 saws where fitted with de-comp button so you will have to modify top cover also these saws some parts are obsolete now and if you ever see a ignition coil for the 6400 7300 7900 either black or red coil check your saw which you have and buy it as they are thin on the ground :thumbup:

    Dlomar 7900

    i have read somewhere on the internet last year that some of the 7900's had idling and running problems and it was owing to a sloppy throttle shaft in the housing on the zama c3m carb maybe worth a check
