i would say harvey that the EA7901 is the same as the PS-7910 so therefore it will be a touch heavier and on paper less power than the dcs7901 but i am maybe wrong

user error can be a large picture if the saw is clean and does'nt have big dents and scratches then its been looked after its a head scratcher if its a chuck and run user, then an immediate decision can be drafted but the fuel mixes, leaks or air leaks loose components malfunctions take some investigating this saw has been looked after and used properly so it must be a malfunction it has lost its compression so something has come loose and done some damage maybe in the EU manual it says 2- stroke oil must be JASO FC o ISO EGD they recomend the dolmar red 50-1 and the dolmar green 50-1 and the super 100-1 oil it does'nt state no other brands IE stihl husky oil the octane level must be 91 or more in the USA manual it recomends the above oils , except the super 100-1 it also requires a minimum of 87 octane rating and a MAXIMUM ETHANOL LEVEL OF E10 so we will wait and see

i will do everything possible to sort this out but it will be a Dolmar dealer that i have spent thousands with over the last two years and have asked many questions about warranty and service work and i was satisfied with his replies so we will see how quickly things get sorted

hello its a PS-7910 there are few differences from the PS-7900 yes its a little heavier and a fraction less power but not that you can notice with a 24'' bar its feels well balanced and powerful , this model defiantely is a step forward others may disagree

  11. THATS OK FOR BIGGER STUFF but 1st & 2nd thinnings it would be a madness to accept that price you would have to cut and sned 130 -160 tree's a day to warrant a decent wage

there are three saws in that professional range the 115 the PS-5105 the PS-6100 the PS-6410 has been discontinued now as the 6100 seems to be taking its place and doing well in the states and mainland europe the PS-4605 is another model that i havent tried yet but its in the proffesional range and similar specs to the husqvarna 346xp

very good classic saw runs nice one of the easiest starting saws you will get in that size but parts are getting scarce now they do suffer with the age old sachs dolmar problems weak or broken chain brake and ignition coil failure it uses a ducati coil and when they start going wrong the spark seems to weaken when hot it shares every part with the 116SI only difference is cylinder and piston
