  1. add it all together and you have a saw that starts well , powerful , very economical , easy on the hands vibes no cat exhaust , no auto tune recycling is good ive been told :thumbup:

  6. i agree modern saws are meant to be fast, all iam saying is if you bury the 6100 into a big stick you can feel that this motor has plenty of low down grunt as well i did'nt mention anything about cutting on torque band or 6500rpm that was another member

  10. it is wider than the 560 but shorter it is heavier i think but i still cant see that its that much of a lesser saw i enjoy using it check out masterminded meets PS6100

  16. good choice with the dolmarPS-5105 it is the same as eddy says ko95 husky mount the solo 651proffi is a good saw very strong same bar mounts these two saws above that i have mentioned i can verify are brilliant good luck

  18. about 30yrs ago i was working down there on that airfieild digging up parts of the old airfield making way for tree planting and the mist came down one afternoon and it was quite spooky i thought about the ''hounds of the baskervilles'' and the moors murderers but i didd'nt know about the pasty murderers :thumbup:
  19. well that is good news they are the same as TCD stated there are differences on older models of dol/mak carbs and coils are different on some models the dcs and ps 6401 have been discontinued for the new 6100 and the dcs 7901 has been discontinued but the ps-7910 is still in production when it comes to dealers we have 1makita o.p.e dealer in devon/cornwall
  20. hello eddy you have been able too get dolmar in the uk for at least 18mths to 2 yrs that i know of but if you did manage to get an order too milton keynes be EXPECTED to wait months and months and months for it to be processed :thumbdown: thats why i have purchased all dolmar equipment from germany and get a brilliant service quick response orders processed quickly and yes the PS-5105 comes in at nearly £100 cheaper than the husky550xp with all the non co operation from makita uk i can get any model of dolmar within a few days from germany i have six different model saws here ready for demonstration :thumbup: cheers
