  1. Hi You may need a bar with a decent nose sprocket if you did, like Sugihara I heard of someone with a 395 on 20", it destroyed the Husqvarna sprocket fairly rapidly but a Sugi was OK N
  2. Hi Dont go Stubby, I'd miss your knowledge dispensed with a dose of dry humour N
  3. Hi, Well done, that is one very nice rifle & scope you have, I used to shoot with .308 & its an very good round with excellent ballistics. But, yes quite a price! N
  4. Hi also some info in this thread: http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/chainsaws/90545-spur-v-rim-261-a.html N
  5. Hi Great to see it up & running doing some good work No need to go to the gym anymore & thanks for posting N
  6. Good post, & a from me As imigrants, were only allowed to vote in local elections & I dont have a problem with that as there is more local government power here. N
  7. Hi Jon Its L'amour est dans le pré at the mo - Love in the country - a bit like blind date for farmers, quite interesting as it shows different rural regions & helps our French as well. N
  8. Hi Jon, Sunny here, too warm for the season got catkins comming looks like spring N
  9. Thanks for posting that link, interesting. We have an area called the Marais Poitevin nearby which is a little similar to Norfolk, most of it was reclaimed from the sea by Benedictine monks assisted by Dutch engineers in the 15th century so its full of canals & I would imagine lots of eels. Edit: slightly off topic but some of the smaller vinyards are finding horses or donkeys are just as effective as tractors & thus seeing a return to traditional methods. N
  10. Agree, I also think there may be exploitation of the emissions regulations to introduce complicated electronics that lock the end user out altogether - in the same way cars have gone. Along with that theres gimicks such as 'tool-less' chain tensioners that dont work & things that break/wear prematurely when they shouldn't because it provides a revenue stream once the fanfare of introducing the latest & greatest saw has died down. Time will tell but right now Dolmar & Echo look solid choices N
  11. Hi Jon Youre not parked on yellow lines again then? N
  12. Interesting story Eggs, I thought they fished the river severn near the esturay at certain times of the year but probably all finished now. N
  13. Policemen doing anything - unfortunately have noticed them less & less when in UK Eel fishing with those wicker basket traps, not sure what they are called, probably finished altogether now. Dont think they ever existed! N

    Husqvarna oil?

Hi Mark, I used Stihl HP red in my MS250 for a while no probs, before deciding to change to Aspen, although it was probbaly mixed 45:1 as I used to mix 2 stroke a bit generous. N
  15. Hi TCD, yes very big +1 from me for Dolmar 115 or Echo, wouldnt consider S&H as their new stuff too unreliable & expensive when it goes wrong. but I do like the older 3 series Husqvarnas tho They all love their shoes mate, my O/H must be related to Imelda Marcos! N
  16. Hi TCD Spot on, the Dolmars seem utterly brilliant & so well made, I dont like new fangled stuff on saws its just annoying and breaks down. Deffo going for a 420 next year & love a 7910 N
  17. Perhaps yours was the only Roller parked on the yellow line? Sure you can afford it Jon & as Vespasian says it only goes up & you end up with a CCJ. Just send them a cheque & wipe your arse on it N
  18. Hi Try this one, your 181 similar [ame] [/ame] skip to about 2.00 theres good detail on the carb & throttle linkage N
  19. Hi Cracking pictures, have a good trip N

    New saw

    Hi Echo 620sx - 60cc Husqvarna 365xt - 70cc Dolmar 7900 - 78cc Husqvarna 390xp - 90cc Depends how much you want to spend & how fast/much you want to cut N
  21. Hi Got one waiting for me en Angleterre, but your photo is very blurred N
  22. Oh er, you lot here make me feel nearly as old as Stubby! N
  23. Hi The monday after the storm was my first day at SANDT (School of applied non destructive testing) part of the welding institute at Abingdon. Its set in rather nice grounds with an avenue of trees many of which had been taken down by the storm. 'I can see you are not paying attention' - said the instructor, half way through the afternoon instruction most of which was familiar. 'No', was my repliy, 'I'd rather be outside with my saw, they're having far too much fun clearing up' Diddnt go down too well but I passed the course with a decent mark, nice place & accomodation was rather good, probably all changed now. N
  24. Hi, agree entirely. I was on the fathers committee at KES Bath for many years & stayed on after our son left as numbers were thin on the ground, we also found putting on events: summer fair & Christmas ball were pretty good - shame your funds get sucked back into school budget. Anyway, I dont think people who dont have children realise the expense involved. & they eat like locusts N
  25. Hi Jon, Thats a very noble thing to do but just has one slight snag as not everyone has £500 to spare & if you do then you're very fortunate. Perhaps money grows on trees in Somerset? but then, yes it does in cider country! N
