  1. All, Im no footy fan, but when I told my friends & neighbours they were very pleased to hear La Marseillaise would be played before every match in England today as a mark of solidarite. We thought, it should now be: Liberté, égalité, fraternité et solidarité Thank you all et Merci beaucoup N
  2. Hi Lucky11 I think that Lambin dealers are pretty sound, I havnt dealt with them but know of people who have. They are in France (as opposed to Luxembourg as some dealers are to escape EU regs) http://www.lambin.fr/qui-sommes-nous.php I dont think they would do a fake, which I think is taken very seriously in France - guillotine perhaps? N
  3. Ooh now, did someone mention Dolmar? They are good as well Shavey is your man, does a good deal... That really made me laugh, I can visualise it - have a pint on me N
  4. Hi Heres a link to RobDs chainsaw bars tables which provides a lot of info Chain ID table N
  5. Nice, get em up in the 'how we dont have a chainsaw photo thread?' http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/chainsaws/69644-how-do-we-not-have-chainsaw-photo-thread-50.html n
  6. All [ame] [/ame] Made me smile so thought Id share with you all N

Then it could be just over 6 weeks away perhaps? Eddy - you should get a complimentary one for spotting the chain on backwards! N
  10. +1 That pop by Mr B is a good one & Dan Holiday felling a large beech - slightly cheesy at the end! N
  11. I have this bar on my 365 20″ Sugihara Light Type Pro ? 3/8″ pitch .058 gauge VT3U-8Q50-A | Sugihara Guide Bars Excellent bar, improves the handling of my 365 as it can be a tad heavy Spud port = Spudulike - member who provides first class service / repair & mods N
  12. Hi, Stubby is spot on, Although you could consider grinding the transfer ports or Spud port on the 365 to up it to a 372, I'd have thought it would be fine on a 24" bar, but if you want a 'beast of a saw' as in your OP, you're into 90cc or thereabouts - depends how fast you want to cut your wood Vs available funds. The 390xp is a 0.058" guage bar & chain should be interchangeable with your 365 - trivial, but worth a note, whilst the 395 is 0.063" guage. Echo & Dolmar also makes some impressive larger saws so well worth considering. Edit1: SugiHara lite pro for me too - cracking bar Edit2: Semi skip for 0.058 guage not easy to come by but there is an ebay seller in USA that does it., 0.063 guage semi skip/skip seems more widely avaliable in UK. No there isnt, I have four saws, 3 with inboard clutches 1 with outboard clutch The inboard clutches take about 2 seconds to flip the circlip off, I keep spares in case it goes awol, but its fairly easy to stop that. Its so easy I could probably do it blindfold. The outboard clutch, I have to remove the spark plug to jam the piston with a cord , then its a left hand threaded nut to remove. To me this is more difficult. I wouldnt avoid a saw because it has an outboard clutch, its just that the same job can be achieved on an inboard one is so much quicker & easier (to me). N
  14. Hi A friend of mine has an E c h o 6 2 0 s x and swears by it - spaces to obfuscate you know whos searches If you come over to France they still sell 346xp 629 euros & exchange rate looks quite good at the mo! must admit, I do like the older 3 series Huskies. N
  15. Hi, It may have been said already but there should be some numbers stamped on the bar one of which will be the number of drive links. I can see it stamped on Stihl but not the Ozaki, may be on other side. You may also be aware that bar length isnt the overall length, but that measured from the holes for the chain tensioner. hope this helps sort it N
  16. Hi I have the smae MS250 with 14" & 18" bar, its 0.063" (1.6mm) gauge 14" bar = 56 links 16" bar = 62 links 18" bar = 68 links For some reason the bars are slightly shorter, but I dont think its to do with the easy tension thing - mine dosnt have it, but if you check the chain for an MS260 its longer on all bar sizes see Chains & select your chain N

Im sure he scans the tinterwebs for any oportunity to extoll the virtues of the sacred 550 & 560 where Dolmar or Echo is mentioned Give it an hour or so Inboard seems easier to swap chain & check/change/grease bearing etc, some outboard spindles have holes to lubricate bearing but changing is difficult Probably not even if I used the saws all day - be difficult I think. N
  18. All, It saddens me this thread contains a lot of political mud slinging, whilst we can't undo the past, we can shape the future. We should be united, wether Corbynite, Thatcherite or any other political persuasion to work together against these forces of evil. What remains after Fridays horrific events is 132 murdered & many more in hospital some critically injured in an attack against all our values, freedom & liberty. Solidarité mes amies N
  19. Well, it did seem like that. Back then it was leather boots with hobb nails, hemp ropes & belaying only at the top of a pitch. I have some old pictures somewhere Indeed N
  20. Hi all Another Stubai also circa 1973 which I dont depend on but does get used now & again. When purchased in Oxford along with a few other items, my mother a keen rock climber in the 50's referred to it as: 'that new fangled ironmongery' N
  21. Well said, Sir. +1 from me. N
  22. Yes, we need strong leaders who back forces that carry out black ops, not put them in the dock. Time to take a much sronger stand against terrorism N
  23. Merci, France bleeds but not for long & my thoughts with all those who have suffered loss in this terrorist incident. Just heard it all on the radio this morning really terrible - boarders are closed Reprisal for killing Jihadi John perhaps? hope they sort them out, Europe is too soft on this. N
  24. Hi, Nice flicks Eggs If you run aground just re-locate the booze then rock from side to side going astern - as we did once - usually does the trick. n
  25. Hi, seems like you have a good one there As for bar oil, just use a decent quality oil & you will be fine, after all it enters the bar and in a split second its gone & done what its supposed to do - lubricate your chain/bar rail etc. As for fuel, you could consider running it on Aspen or Husky Power2, these are pre-mixed fuels and dont go off as some petrol does. They are more expensive, but better for your saw & better for you. N
