  1. My mate Allen Walters ( in the vid ) has been using his Exeter for ever it would seem . One of the first ever made and still going strong .
  2. Probably yes . As I mentioned before I had one that regrew from a stump 6" off the ground in a short time .
  3. Being a " time served tool maker " I sharpen free hand on an off hand grinder . Get someone to show you .
  4. I think depends on if you have Alkaline or acidic soil types .
  5. Jonathan , is the V10 engine available in the Amarock pickup ?
  6. Yea I was thinking a bit of underpinning would help . With those sort of " foundations " just mowing the daises off your lawn could cause heave !
  7. I was 3 years old then , remember it well
  8. I felled one on my front lawn that was above gutter height and the stump regrew a new tree pretty fast . within 3 years had another just over head height so they coppice well .
  9. Dress the rails on your bar. And measure the gap between them and check its not over worn. Also check its the correct gauge chain for the bar He says it cuts strait ....
  10. Yes you are correct mate . My missus is watching Emmerdale and I am on here but ... drinking Jamesons Whisky ! ? Alum WALTers ?
  11. There is an ancient woodland near me not far from Havant in Hampshire . I have walked it with my dog and studied the work going on . It is , I think a work in progress that has been neglected over the years . No conifer or pop plantations just neglect . They ( the people working it ) are bringing it back to a " working wood " as was . > I love your thread , keep it coming . Oh and Alan Warters is still making charcoal with his original Exeter !
  12. The Rivion would be my choice .
  13. I had a little yellow Alpina top handle years ago with no AV .
  14. Every body knows that fast wipe when its not raining means turning right ?
  15. Why would you be selling a brand new " gem " of a saw the like of which won't be manufactured ever again ? He has godda be pulling our pisser !
  16. I think its a wind up ! ?
  17. I don't suppose you are giving it away .......so , price ?
  18. I use a big plastic trug from any horsey shop .
  19. Cracking ! Well done . Don't work for nothing though .
  20. If it was only 70 psi I doubt it would start . 70 psi is not enough to support combustion . I don't think it was the right compression tester . More likely what the other guys are saying about bar dressing / sharpening / etc etc .
