Pipe caught up in the tank . Try repositioning it . Some times the larger filters on the end can do this . I swapped a filter for a smaller diameter Oregon one as it was doing this in a hedge cutter .

I never use a guard with a mulching blade either . The worst thing that has happened to me is I hit a small pot of white paint that had been discarded in a load of bramble . Made a bit of a mess on my strides .
