  1. You said it had " minimal signs of die back " these I presume ( rightly or wrongly ) were obvious to you or you would not have posted as such . In my experience , just as an observer , these " minimal signs of die back " become more than minimal till eventually its the only thing happening . I don't mean to be harsh but when it all started ( became news ) I saw trees with minimal signs and 3/4 years later some did not flush the next spring yada yada yada ...
  2. To be fair he has never liked me . We never got on right from the start .

  6. Bearing in mind I am a seriously old git ...I worked for several years without any tickets coz I always had a saw and experience kept me alive . I did get tickets some years later and I think its the only way these days . I don't think you can take a dump without a ticket now .

  9. Absolutely . As I said I have run .058" Stihl chains on Husqvarnas I preferred them to be honest thought they were a tad harder but that was many years ago and I think things have improved/ moved on now .
  10. I have seen it work after a fashion but the bar rails were well worn and slightly splayed . Not ideal . Anyway it seems its not the case in this instance .
  11. The Stihl chain could very well be .063 ( 1.6 ) gauge , which would make it tight . I have had Stihl chains that are .058 and run them on a Husqvarna but generally Stihl chains ( made to run on Stihl saws ) are the wider gauge .

  16. Yes it would . I bought , years ago , a " West Coast " 385xp from Canada . It had a 28" bar with a semi chis narrow kirf full skip chain with the rakers practically filled right off . I was told by the guy it was a soft wood only felling saw .
