  1. I just posted as such in the news thread . Look forward to his " take " on it ! ?
  2. I presume you want to replace it with another 60cc saw ? So there is Husqvarna 562XP or 560XP both 60cc . Echo CS 590 , Dolmar PS 6100 , or your " throw away " Chinese offerings some of which seem ok others break within the week . Will be interested in your choice .
  3. Looks like Trumpton and the 1st lady have got C19 .
  4. Thing is how old is that picture ( cant see the date on the news paper ) . I am sure some news papers have some " stock pics " that they keep up their sleeve . E.G. the toilet roll fiasco . One of the rags showed a picture of empty shelves last week and set all the drongos off bulk buying just to sell more papers .
  5. Maybe her plan all along ? ☺️

The rooks round here are pulling them off the trees and flying off with them . There beaks are wide open when they fly by .

  13. We don't need to know about any " sucky bag " thank you !
  14. Would it be economic to employ a climber to put the rope in at the right height to gain max mechanical advantage ? The principle of moments and all that .
  15. I will raise you your " old Dynamac " and offer a used stunt scooter and some chocolate covered Brazil nuts my Gran had in a cupboard ....
  16. How the other half life , honestly ! ☺️
  17. No its not ! you know the future is garlic bread FFS ! ☺️
  18. We had to fell some poplars close to the edge of the A27 were it goes over the Chichester canal . We had to start at 05:00 am on a Sunday when traffic was at a minimum . We got double bubble for that .

Put your self on the tip site directory .?
  22. About 30 years ago I changed a band on a 3120 that I bought second hand , it came broken . A bit of a faff ( skinned knuckles ) cocking the spring again . That is the only one I have ever changed . I know its there for a reason and I am happy about that , should there ever be a kick back , but I certainly don't snap it on after every cut or before I take a step . I don't start a saw with it on purely out of mechanical sympathy . I am 68 years old now so doing well not using one I suppose . ?
  23. Its actually a chain brake . It " breaks " when you " WHACK it on at every step . We are different .
  24. I blame the college that teaches this . Years ago there was no chain brake on a saw . ( I had a couple like this ) . It teaches you to be careful but not over the top . A bit of mechanical sympathy needs to be taught IMHO .
  25. I also have never snapped a brake band but then I rarely use the chain brake . I will probably go to prison for this but hey ... I'm not saying your guys are like this but have noted that most " young " users seem to snap the brake on at every opportunity and often at high revs . Makes me cringe when I hear it .
