I remember paying 50p ( with a student union card ) to see "The Sensational Alex Harvey Band" as they were then called at Chichester Collage . The next day they were playing The Marquee for £20 a ticket . Them were the days 🙂

Agree about removing the grass . The dark art of pruning orchard trees requires the center of the tree to be pruned out , I believe to do with air flow ? Any way commercial trees are kept that way .

As Steve says Beech can let go any time if the root system is compromised by this fungus , even when outwardly they look healthy . -

I started on a BSA M20 . Took the sidecar off and rode it round a field at the age of 13 . Had all kinds of bikes through the years including a VFR 750F with a TTS 837 big bore kit on it . Last bike was a year 2000 Fire Blade . I got smashed to bits on it by a blind woman in a Renult Megan .
