  1. Ditto that for me . Found the vt excellent with the hitch climber though..
  2. Lol !!! Scotland comfortable victory today ..
  3. No chance of getting a visa , sponsorship or not . An H1-B visa you need a bachelor's degree minimum . You may have one I don't know . I have all my nptcs up to 41 , a job offer and was told by a u.s immigration firm that it still wasn't possible . An H2-b visa which is the seasonal occupation visa is my only possible ( still risky ) option . This is OK for a young single dude but not someone with a family on tow . P.S I'm gutted 😭😭
  4. Just put roughly half a guide bar cut with the chainsaw into any reasonable size log and away you go , found it much steadier than those silly little log vice thingies.
  5. I personally don't like that set up at all , way too bulky and cumbersome but the main issue I see is the eye end krab fouling the distel hitch . This is a massive no no with friction hitches . The pulley eye to eye is terribly positioned and too thick chord . Probably will work but you could make life so much easier . Hopefully someone will be along soon with the correct set up ☺
  6. Those ewe trees are bad for woolly aphids apparently ?
  7. Kevin i don't know what your going on about as usual . I take my job and safety very seriously . This is what I like about tree climbing ,forestry etc it's a great leveller and a dead 30m sophora doesn't ask to see your race or qualifications .
  8. Some folk actually don't get it .. With a top handle you are much more inclined to use it one handed whether on the ground or above , but lets just say you are a good little citizen and you use both hands . You just don't have the same control as both hands are very close together , short bar -high power = big kickback =danger . Professionals should know this ..
  9. No myth about it at all . Top handle is for a climber in the canopy . Ground saw is just that , more comfortable and ergonomic on the ground . Stands to reason they both can be interchanged if that's what you want .
  10. Guelder Rose would be a must for me . Literally a gem of a shrub ...
  11. You must be a mind reader lol !! Just logged into two American forums ! No high heels sorry ...
  12. De-activated my account also , had enough of stupid photos of pouting girls , that and the vanity issue , good riddance ....
  13. meindls seem to be the traditional boot for people with wide feet , hillwalking and chainsaw . I'm a wide 43 and had trouble getting nice fitting boots until i discovered meindls ..
  14. T-shirts here mate ... This mild weather is just wrong ... I read last week they had 12 degrees at 2000 metres !
  15. Nice one mate , can tell it's been done with love and passion
  16. I get results from an mri tomorrow on my left knee and very concerned also about my climbing future, timely post , thanks ..
  17. Yeh i know . What difference does it make , she is quite attractive . Have to remember he is only a young lad .
  18. Yeh like we were all so polite and pc when we were 27 !! How dare he say a girl is nice looking ..
  19. 400 cash in hand to reduce a lime that's been reduced before sounds like great money lowered or not , photo or no photo i would take the poster at his word . Maybe too much money in the Clyde valley ?
  20. Zubat 330 ... Gomtaro is only for small stuff or if you like lactic acid build up in your arms
