  1. That's the thing , when politicians strip them of their guns , they will have no say ( although them and their cronies will STILL carry them ). What scares you about guns being a way of life ? You climb trees with a chainsaw lol !!! Maybe go take some Shooting lessons .. lo and behold the chances are you will meet normal law abiding , friendly people! As a note I grew up only a few miles from Dunblane , I use to have your physce until I took the barriers down and tried to understand, research more about it. No one's saying these events are none other than tragic..
  2. You are deluded . It's not the big gun companies holding the government to ransom it's the members of the NRA ( decent law abiding people like you and me ) saying NO !! We will not have our rights and way of life stripped away because some shady weasel politician wants to control me even more !!!
  3. Why does it need to change its gun laws .. The second amendment is built upon the right to bare arms against corrupt governments and the right to protect your family from harm . There's an argument to suggest if there was more conceal carry it would mean these perps would kill less people on their spree . If miss jihadi pulles out an ak or AR at a pub your in she needs to meet your best friend Mr Glock ...
  4. I make 200 euros less per month on the social system here than I do busting my balls climbing every day ...
  5. Agree with all of the above... I have ' in Flanders fields ' poem on my fridge door as a constant reminder and it will always be there.

    Euro 2016

Had to chuckle at ' The Times ' players rating , everyone got 0 . Think they were lucky to get that ..
  7. I do this too , even though I realise now its not my passion ( recent MD post ) . Must be an illness then

Here here ... I'm 46 and tired listening to the same old bs .. This is just normal football type behaviour imo . There was a premiership game a few weeks ago involving the new champions where the officials had to be escorted off the pitch ????? wtf !!! Why ? Are the PLAYERS going to assault them or what ? Some people actually will pay money and support these morons ( that's just the players) .takes all sorts I suppose....
  9. Greatness is a term used too frequently but if it ever should be bestowed on a man , well ....
  10. My god that takes me back , camped there nearly 30 years ago with what would be my future wife and friends. I remember getting evacuated after the river burst it's banks and my mate waking up with half a face after a particularly bad midgie attack . Never forget when he turned round and said they never bothered him !!
  11. Sorry to here that Stubby it's a horrible thing but best of luck with the new charge
  12. I think Rupes point is spot on ... ( glad he's back contributing again ) ' hard day's graft ' , ' working my ass off ' is terms you here regularly in this industry but if you need do this every day either you'll fail mentally probably first or physically . Or both . As a late trainee myself the first 6 months of climbing day in day out was a physical and mental struggle and at times i felt like packing up and going home . Things changed when I had to force myself to change my climbing style and start being much smarter and accurate with the throwline , using a pantin etc . That combined with the fitness and large muscle mass I had gained things got a lot easier ... Personally ads saying how much kit someone has doesn't really mean anything to me ..
  13. Especially Ibrahimavic ... What's he gonna do with 220k a week in Manchester ?
  14. She's after something !
  15. Macca , that photo isn't near Ellon , Aberdeenshire is it ? If it is that's my Dales pony in the photo ..
  16. And the fact that the new one doesn't feed back into itself
  17. There's no doubt imo cobra and it's derivatives is sold to customers who have no idea by unscrupulous bosses instilling a fear factor . That's the way it is over here anyway . The fact it can be installed quickly ( other types much quicker ) and cheaply lends itself to this situation . The fire thing aside , you may be onto something ..
  18. Anyway , back to the serious question .. What's your favourite foot spa ?
  19. I've put in miles of the stuff 99% of the time as you say completely unnecessary . As another member has stated when replacing old stuff it's normally not been done correctly. The plastic can get very stiff and mouldy over time and it's very easy to cut with your silky , how this affects it's tensile strength I do not know . I also doubt it could actually ' brace ' say a huge platanus limb but I am under the impression it's just to deflect the said limb away from a potential target . As a footnote there is much quicker , simpler alternatives to cobra anyway .
  20. Absolutely no manners these days . Something I've noticed to about here is when you get on public transport the kids all get a seat and the adults stand !! When I grew up it was automatic to stand up and offer it to an adult ..if I didn't I can assure you I did the next time !!
