  1. I know what your saying , but i tried that a couple of days ago and the VT was just bunching up and not advancing properly . At waist height it works fine , i do use it like that alot . Thats how i thought the HC might align it better . BTW , are you not in Canada yet ? What has a man gotta do
  2. Hi chaps , Is there any reason why i can't replace the pinto pulley on my ce lanyard with a HC and use it as a 2nd short climbing system ? Thanks ..
  3. I thought last nights was slightly better than the week before what with a bit of emotion attached to it . Not enough chairisma going about though to keep ones interest i think .

  8. Ah right ... we need to wait till they have chopped up a few moose first
  9. There's grounds for debate in suggesting its not actually an endline knot as in a buntline or an anchor knot . Chance it could slip and load krabs incorrectly .
  10. Is there a punchline ??
  11. Here are the Golden rules . 1. Overprice it . ( I use to get so frustrated and angry with leylandii hedges until a moment of clarity from Mark Bolum who said it stemmed from underpricing them and he was absolutely right ) 2. Blame the previous tree surgeon for poor workmanship by saying he has stuffed old arisings down the middle of the hedge ( good to have already some prepped in your hand to chuck out as you tell the client ) 3. Get them to PHYSICALLY POINT to a spot on the hedge they want it reduced to . ' just do it to the same as the one at the back ' or something similar wont do ( its amazing how hard it is to get them to do this ) Hope that helps
  12. Sorry to hear that TM , always tough losing a pet ( for me anyway )
  13. Done .. What a great cause , humans working together with their natural resources and looking after it , responsibly, for future generations BTW I want to see some PAIN shots !!!
  14. Aberdeen hot lol!!! Not hot but the north east has very little rain fall , one of the driest areas in the uk i believe , combined with it being windy alot . Checked a clients sycamores today with a fellow arbtalker .. no tarspot . Even checked a churchyard en route to the ice rink .. again nothing .
  15. There was a thread on it a while back , cant remember the poster but i think it was down to prolonged dampness and the lower leaves suffering the most .
  16. It was so boring people will want out of the industry imo
  17. ????? Youd be glad you did
  18. Can you remember what it was ??
  19. 550 for big , dirty stumps ? no way!!
  20. Think your absolutely right , a domestic tree surgeon simply wont need something as heavy and powerful as the 200T day in day out . I for one am all ears to any good ' small ' top handles .
  21. I'm interested in your pole pruner head if your ad is still applicable ??
