  5. I started typing some names there but have decided its not really prudent to start naming names , nonetheless there is obvious candidates to all who use this forum regularly . Deal with any tree in a hurricane aftermath ? No , i dont think i could . But yes i have dealt with large windblow and will be dealing with an oak on its way over this week . Could i make a positive contribution , i would like to think so . I'll google some companies and see what transpires . Stay safe ..

  10. Organ music didnt ruin it at all ! Better than the gangsta rap stuff for the naughty boys . Seriously them river guys are something special . I noted how clean and tidy there worksite was aswell , a far cry from some modern monstrosities .
  11. I'm glad you posted this first Andy , because my feelings are the same in that they seem to be selling poppies earlier and earlier every year to such an extent it will lose its ' appeal ' so to speak . I am also of the opinion the poppy represents the men and women who sacrificed themselves during the first world war... and possibly the second . But can identify if it now represents all fallen soldiers , not a problem with that . I wear my ' help for heroes ' band all year round to , again which i will always link with Afghanistan

  15. I've got the 7 meter one on the basis that its for work position in medium - Large crowns so no point in it being shorter and the 10 meter i think is too long for the domestic trees i do and would get caught up in everything below me . A good tip i got shown for this as its very annoying getting it snagged all the time is to daisy chain it in sections and clip it onto a tool crab at your side and just pull out lengths as you need it That hi-vis is class !!
  16. GOT IT !! Its in the north-east sky , quit low in the horizon but not that low . I'm away back out
  17. Did you give them directions Andy ??
  18. Yes , at the price it would be good to have the choice to convert back and forth if required . Thanks for the reply
  19. Nothing doing mate If at first you dont succeed though !!
  20. Its not CE anyway WW i changed the knot to a VT as i was unhappy at the Distel taking too long to lock . A separate system may be the way to go PS .. I just noticed your Hi-vis bib last night !! :laugh1:
