  7. Dont really get ridges in the stipe just fibrousy . I think your picture shows an older dried out / dessicated specimen . The one i showed will darken down the stipe and go the same way i would suggest . But i aint no fung expert could be doing with a pair of more informed eyes

  10. Cap 6-15cm . Dark brown chocolate coloured with contrasting , light gills . Flesh is creamy white turning brown in the stipe . Habitat - On WAYSIDES and forest boundaries on CHAFF or ruderal locations in various types of forest . Apparently the species is extremely difficult to identify positively however all are edible but unpleasant apparently . looks identical to the picture in my guidebook , timing july - october seems to fit also .
  11. Pretty sure thats Common Cavalier , ' Melanoleuca malaleuca . Found in exactly the circumstances described .

  13. Local radio DJ said yesterday that a school in Aberdeen were going to Los Angeles for their annual school trip . Shocked at this , i told my wife when i got home .. she then went on to say her friend at works kids were going scuba diving to Trinidad for theirs !!! Changed days indeed !
