  1. Sorry i meant the edilrid micro O:thumbup1:
  2. I have some of those, they are cheaper from honey bros(not on the website but they have them in the shop). very well made and sturdy. You wouldnt want anything smaller than that, i can just about clip into my tachyon eye with them. Loads better than the stein ones.
  3. same, but with a large pulleysaver.
  4. Ive always used that phrase. chop+log=chog:lol:
  5. quite right, i only really use this method when on a final decent on fells.
  6. you could also do as ewan suggests but without the crab and pulley and as long as the large ring end is doing the overlapping (and there are no pegs about) it will be retrievable.
  7. you can choke a multi/fimble saver, you just need to adjust the length so the rings are a few cm apart then install your rope, your weight when applied will pull them together and your rope wont touch the bark.
  8. Multisaver wins all day long as its retrievable
  9. good point, i just bought the new upgraded one today. manual says its rated at 15kn. I thought tool strops were designed to break in those situations anyway, just dont use rope for a tool strop i suppose.
  10. when i first saw this thread i thought the lite was was a new model, saw in in the flesh today and its exactly the same as a normal TM just with less padding/clips/gearloops. WHY produce a lite version of something that is light enough already??
  11. Ive only ever seen that combo in you shots, never in the field. Is the auricularia causing a secondary white rot?? The planes are in st johns wood opp lords cricket ground. No pics im affraid as i keep breaking my smartfone. need to get a normal camera.
  12. geckos with buckle bottom. I found the velcro came loose during a heavy session and moth balled mine, just changed them to buckles now and there out of retirement and feel great. Get american style spikes too i had the european ones and they are horrible.
  13. I forgot to add that these are situated in very well irrigated flower/shrub beds, which throws a spanner in my drought response theory.
  14. Found a hell of a lot on a row of 25 medium sized ones (the most for me in the last 6 months). A lot of it eminating from past pruning cuts where the limbs had been lifted. Trauma bringing it on??
  15. Did you go Ben??
  16. I have used blaze, Aeris, P.ivy and tachyon and tachyon wins hands down. Its stiff but easy to grip. Also its the only one i dont need gloves for even in the wet!
  17. he is good, i got some stuff off him and its top notch. Cant get my loler man to loler it tho, although i hear there are some that would.
  18. He did a talk a year or two ago at an AA meeting at kew. It was really good
  19. i want one
  20. I just found the steel ring on the dyneema rode up over the rubbers and everything felt a little bunched up on the O. everything has enough space with a flat topped crab.
  21. Whats the plan for that one then???
  22. now your getting to my level!!
  23. you want a hobbs/gcrs. all in one baby!
  24. Saw him at a AA meeting, the guy really inspired me.
