  1. Tsuguri...its animal and you can get into tight spaces for a good cut!
  2. I have both and in my experience I had the most trouble with the pulley saver. Mainly on retrieval and especially when I choked it tight. Sure it can be used in more configurations (that I never really used it for) but the ropeguide has so many refinements that I appreciate now I own one eg cam loosening when you retrieve, trapeze, set lenth of retrieval tether, shock absorber etc. The PS is now gathering dust in my kit bag.
  3. i got it to work now!!! i have some ascenders already ben!!
  4. Get a 3m one, great for big stuff!!
  5. I bought some teufelberger tachyon thinking it was the same as the regular one but it turns out its 11.2mm was a bit disappointed as it killed my hands. Now I've got used to it (my hands) its great, a thinner line is the way with the sj.
  6. I wonder why they don't make it from steel??? would last a lot longer!! maybe it would'nt be as much of an earner!!
  7. I have an old pair in a 10 if you want em still in fair condition. you can av em, just pay the postage!
  8. seconded on zermatts. Although i found them cooler than airstreams in the summer and they have more room in the toes.
  9. Art quick kit
  10. After a long time trying to get the right limb with the big shot, the quick kit didn't work!Aaaaaarrrrggggghhhhhh
  11. Saw the Meripilus yesterday. Good show!!

  13. The guy in the shop warned me off the slaice. He said it often got stuck in his pulley saver and had problems retrieving?? Strange as there isn't much difference between the PS and RG. Seconded on tachyon tho.
  14. I have had to make the time!! Not looking forward to the mountains of course work!!
  15. I did and I remember you if you are the same gareth. Im going back there tomorrow to do my l4 as it goes!
  16. Tbh it doesn't look like collibia
  17. Whenvyou pick the mushroom look at the bottom of the stem. It should be tapered to a point. If not then its not collibia.
  18. Don't get a slaice if you use a pulley saver or similar it will get stuck

  20. Anybody know which class room were meeting in tomorrow??? Haven't had anything from college and they keep putting me through to an answer fone every time I call.
  21. Those things are solid, traded mine in for a 406. What a mistake that was.
  22. Ford mondeo. Cheap second hand. Cheap to fix. And the tdci engine is a proper work horse. Wish I had waited for one instead of my vectra estate.
  23. I havnt had time to install the pulleysaver with it but i checked that the weight couldn't pass through the pinto which i can't, so i would imagine it would work as they both use the same principal. The only thing that may be an issue is wear on the rope eye from pulling the throw line through it, the ropeguide has a steel ring so no issue.
  24. Removing major dead wood. Some of it 8in dia.
