  3. Yeah it was fruiting from an old pruning wound. Ill inform the client its not a parasite, she will be happy!

  7. Bringing this old girl down to near the main fork today due to sudden loss of vigor and bark falling off. We know that the neighbours hate this tree. Does anyone else think the dead foliage is most likely poisoning?? There is also a strip of necrotic bark facing the neighbours that leads to the dead laterals. Any views???
  8. Amenity trees vol 4 & 7 are like rocking horse sh!t. Hopefully they haven't all been nicked out the library at college.

  12. The tree (h chestnut) is just outside my house, where I park my car. The estate I live on is a stones throw from the heath.

  14. Seconded. The top is also flat which helps it sit better. I used ultra o before and found things bunched up and the ring on the dynneema rode over the rubber stopper.

  19. The handle does seem to be the weak point. Had the same happen to us. Luckily the part is only £10 but its an arse to fit!!!

  24. I found the velcro bottom ones came loose right when you didn't want them to. Switched to the leather straps and feel a lot more secure
