  3. It was a fell on a posh building site. The biggest magnolia grandiflora I have seen! They were thinking of keeping it (hence the sign) but it was causing too much damage. Was over 110 years old!!

  15. Ive seen that method but I want it for high installs. Id need a huge rope for that as you need to double double your rope!! Quick kit sorts it!!

  20. we use yale bull rope and the isc cast blocks. Mostly for plain n simple lowering. rarely do we need to lift anything (only when things get stuck) but its handy to have that option.
  21. i got some FREE!!!! old gear if you want it. all well used but passable (just). SIP freedom type c trousers large (requires a little needle work). old stein plasma helmet (needs muffs + visor). size 10 meindl woodwalkers (in pretty good nick). PM me if you want em (that goes for anyone) they are cluttering my life and messin with my feng shui
  22. We have a hobbs and I thoroughly recommend it. Bombproof!! Have done some mega snatches with it!!!
  23. To answer your question properly, meripulus is a root decay fungus that particularly likes eating beech. Quickly!!
  24. Looks to me like meripulus. Which is the death nell for that beech.
  25. Looks exactly the same as the harkie, which is an alright harness. Although the materials used dont seem as hard wearing as a butterfly/dragonfly.
