  6. alveo wont last more than 2 years and lets the rain in im back on vertex. new model is proper comfy. protos are good but cost x3 what a vertex does.

    Dont get airstreams if you have even slightly wide feet. Great boots just narrow. my feet are now loving the pfanner zermatts.

  15. tricky one. ive had to do it but then my boss would back me up. depends on the situation I suppose. I had to wrestle a mentally ill guy from trying to throw himself into the chipper. I was quite rough (as was he) but my force was justified. why does this worry you so much??? do you have to fend off tree huggers???
  16. seconded on the AA field guide for tree fung. for everything else I use 'mushrooms' by roger phillips which also contains brackets but doesn't go into decay strategies. good book.

  20. I know someone that uses it with a wrench and really rates it. Although I think its mainly used for access and doing the odd branch. for moving around the canopy a lot he switches to ddrt.

  24. im not an expert but I suppose if they are worried about their property they can get a report to then show to the neighbours to make them legally aware wirh a professional opinion. any chance of further investigation of the roots? tbh and I know some won't like what im gonna say but if I was a consultant I would probably give the same answer unless they were willing to pay for costly futher investigation.
