  1. Good all round rope. Just dont get the teufelberger one!!
  2. Yeah really. Did Kylie's lime wish I could say I did her bush:D
  3. wow theye cheap!!! waterproof??
  4. I love my velocity on the SJ. Self tends from ground level!!!
  5. All boots slip on certain surfaces. Get used to it!
  6. I got teufelberger tachyon and the zz is ripping it to shreds so dont get that.
  7. Its not the bend on the pulley its the one on the first link. After that the rope goes straight through the others in a straight line due to lack of diameter. With a 11.5 the bend is less and the links above seem to grab more like they are designed to. So what im trying to say is I can see why you are not supposed to use 11mm as the weight is not applied evenly through the device. If you get what I mean???
  8. It looks to me as if the bend is taking all the weight and the links aint holding much, hence the jerkyness.
  9. Just tried it with velocity. Plus side is ascents and tending are way smoother. Negative side decents are jerky and the bend on the rope looks suspect (see pic)
  10. ill give a quick whirl in the velocity today
  11. Ill keep you posted on the wear. I know what your saying about the sj and agree, everything has its drawbacks the thing that really narks me about the sj is replacing worn bits 6 clutches a body and a brake in 1 yr, expensive! Although the zz may prove expensive if I have to replace a seriously worn rope!
  12. Gonna have to cut one of ya splices off.
  13. I find the spiderjack with velocity and ropeguide a hell of a lot smoother and the zigzag is no way near as good at self tending. I can see why people prefer the zz as its more natural and similar to a hitch. But so far the sj rules, for me anyway. But its early days as ive only had the zz less than a week.
  14. I have done 2x 10 m ash reductions and one 6m apple reduction with the zigzag. In the first pic the top bit of rope is below the 20 m mark and represents what my rope looked like before the zz ( I know the spliced end gets more use but it wasn't far off) and the lower bit shows the wear im experiencing. A lot of wear from not a lot of use.
  15. Will do when I get back to the yard
  16. It was like new. Now its all gone fluffy.
  17. Noticing some rope wear after only 2.5 days light use. Anyone else getting this??
  18. Where on the tree where they?? Under ground?? Look like snail eggs to me.
  19. I would get a transit. They have more room than a cabsar/isuzu/fuso. Cheap to buy/run/fix. You could get a nice one for 4k.
  20. wikked. well lookin forward to testing it out on some big planes on thurs:thumbup:
  21. big one we do regularly with a mewp
  22. we just got some steele splitting wedges in as we have some large stumps with no grinder access.
