  1. Sorry, I could be wrong I've had a few beers and it was just what I first thought I'll have a look in my book for a more informed guess
  2. Honey fungus as Gary says.
  3. It would take a lot more than 20-30 quid a day to keep me away from my family. But if I were single, party time.
  4. Fraxinus excelsior diversifolia
  5. Amberon Paul collinge 07875815542 I've used these in oldham, they are very good. Matt

  9. Got plenty of all the three species of trees that grow around here
  10. I could sort you some out if you are willing to drive to oldham to collect.
  11. Doesn't look good.
  12. I have just installed a new fire and I have always wanted a morso badger and that is what I fully intended getting after owning a couple of cheap wood burners which were ok for the money, but not great. After visiting a few stove shops I couldnt even get to see a badger let alone buy one so I ended up taking some advice and getting the burley Holywell. I am very happy with it, it really throws out some heat and as mentioned the large glass door and swirling flames is mesmerising. They are very good quality stoves, built to last. Not sure of the rrp, but I paid 850 for mine and it is worth every penny. Please don't reply saying the only cost 500 everywhere else!
  13. Good thought provoking thread. I don't have anything more to add than what has already been said really, the tree doesn't look the best structurally but very reasonable physiologically. I suggest the target frequency would play a big part of deciding what remedial action to take here, if any at present.
  14. Helicoils are great, I've fixed loads of damaged threads with them, including spark plug holes. Depending on how badly they have been damaged I have also got away with cleaning them up with just the tap.
  15. Ha ha, looking through the search feature and not checking the entire thread. duh
  16. Have i missed this?
  17. It just looks like a plain bow line to me, defo not with Yosemite tie off? From the look on your daughters face I think see realised at the time.
  18. If the trees are tpo'd I would get something on paper to say that you can take them out. Just saves any messing should any objection arise
  19. I've been using the new m-tronic 201 today, brilliant little saw. Definite improvement on the old old 201.
  20. The bearings are worn and will need replacing
  21. That is my initial thought, broad leaf cock spur
  22. The tree of Devon- as it's now known. Ailanthus altissima. Always stick to the scientific names, for this reason.
  23. The best thing about this thread by far is the last comment on the Facebook page referencing 'back to the future'. :lol:pmsl
