  1. Good find that
  2. Hi Bob, One of my lads who was driving the wagon heard it crack driving out of the yard. I suspect it had a partial stress crack in one of the beams of the chassis, resulting in the catastrophic failure of the others. The many speed humps around here have probably contributed to the failure, this is a very heavy machine however, i wouldnt have expected this to happen? regards Matt
  3. I think it was just the drive shaft holding it together in the end.
  4. Looks like the metal chassis has become fatigued? Three main box sections sheered.

  9. We have a big bandit 150, which for the last ten years has been a beast of a machine .......but today when we really need it, it broke ...............in half !
  10. You tell em Jules!
  11. My mate sold a small van (Vauxhall combo) full of semi dried discs for £40 yesterday. I thought he done well to get that, but it's hard to put a price on really. Things are worth whatever somebody is willing to pay.
  12. 1st, Crap battery 2nd, take it to auto electricians to find the drain.
  13. If you are going to have a go at a (botch job) i have had some good results with JB weld products.
  14. I would want to get that repaired properly by welding, there maybe one or two products which may make a temporary seal but you wouldnt have piece of mind unless you got a proper job done. You don't want it letting you down at a critical time.
  15. i have fould a soldering iron is best to melt the plastic to manipulate it to make a seal again. you can even add more plastic to the area by melting cable ties- using them as welding rods. youll have it as good as new in no time. empty the tank first though... and leave cap off!!!
  16. Shouldn't have any problem getting them exchanged or a refund. Protector lights are my favourites.
  17. Yes thanks I'm going to print that PDF off before I attempt it. I have seen a kit on eBay - belt and tensioner for 39 quid!
  18. I'm glad of this thread, it's given me the confidence to have a go at mine. I've been wanting a new pick up anyway
  19. Ive tried numberous times to contact rowena motors but have been told they dont deal with individuals, just dealers etc?
  20. I had a similar drunken discussion with one of my friends about this. I was saying that when talking about a meter cubed of anything I always visualise a builders 'ton' bag. But my mate recons that they are not actually a meter cubed, and are less. I'm not really arsed either way but just thought I'd see what anybody else's views are?
  21. You just hold them close to the ht cap. (Point the arrow on the tach to the lead/plug) and it picks up the pulse and gives the reading.
  22. What was he giving up? Being honest? and turning to selling knicked gear?
  23. Very good. It certainly could be.
