  1. Im sure that decent drainage companies have those little mole devices which can run along pipes with a light and a camera to confirm what the blockage is. I may have dreamt it but i think they even have attachments that can clear the offending roots ,if it is roots, and run another sleeve inside. Although i do not know if there has to be a minimum diameter pipe to do this or even whether this situation would warrent that scale of work.
  2. Interesting. I knew i shouldnt have sprayed the bit which was growing up through my kitchen floor.
  3. Dont get upset, dont get upset!!!! Ill tel you whos getting upset. No im not getting upset, just frustrated. Fkin thing. Ive had to walk away from it and have a brew twenty times. Yes the plasting ring is in there. Realistically i need to start again from scratch and get a new flange to see if thats the problem, it doest look destorted but ive had it off and on a few times and god knows who else before me. I may try a smear of sealant as i re asemble. Just want to do a proper job and i see that as a bit of a bodge. Thanks for the replies fellas.
  4. so frustrating when you cant fix something. ........yet.
  5. Just caught the end of it. Good idea to try and use it as a fuel, there is so much of it about. How much do they charge for the stuff?
  6. No. Jesus give me some credit.
  7. Great where is that from?
  8. Not doing pressure test just testing with spray around the joints.
  9. Carb replacement was needed to discount that as the issue, gaskets were very poor, carb full of bits and h n l screws looked like someone has driven them in with a sledge hammer. For the price of the carb it wasnt worth not replacing to make the saw good again, or at least try to.
  10. When its assembled and running, which is difficult to keep running, i carefully spray a bit of cleaner at the joint and the saw revs its nuts off.
  11. Put a new boot on, didnt help. It was first thing i tried.
  12. Did think of that but dont want to block the impulse hole too. It would be difficult not to if i put that on.
  13. Probly just going to replace everything for new and see if it works.
  14. Its nothing to do with the circular clip that attaches to the cylinder. It already has the steel clip opposed to the plastic one, the leak i cant seem to seal is between the rubber intake boot and the carb its self. Thanks for the reply tho. Come on spud enlighten me
  15. I have an air leak between the rubber intake boot and the carb on a 357 xp. I have tried allsorts to try and seal it bar replacing the grey platic flange around the boot that the bolts screw into- it doesnt seem to be readily available on the net. Anyone any ideas? Im thinking i may try and make a gasket next?
  16. Is that delivered?
  17. Apart from that one
  18. They may even do it for you as part of thier rounds.
  19. You have to notify the local electric board- electricity northwest? You may need to have the line shut down, if so it will take months.
  20. All good advice here. I also think its a bit expensive for what it is- an old chipper. I have always have the attitude that what ever goes wrong with machines that they can be repaired, which to some extent they can however, it can get very expensive and not cost effective. Its one thing swapping broken and worn out machine components but sometimes with old machinery the actual main body/chassis wears and fatigues and that becomes more difficult and more expensive to remedy. sometimes/most times its worth getting something a bit better and newer. But i know what you mean that isnt always possible when you havent got the funds available. buy the best you can afford, this one is too dear. M
  21. Really? i cant see it myself. That would be a world champion goat willow.
  22. We have just got the battery pole saw with the ap300 batteries, the lads think its great. These battery saws definatley seem to be the way forward, only time will tell.
  23. I have used a few splitters and i think the screw splitters are the best by far. One of the main things which has been mentioned is not having to wait for the a ram to return or split the wood. Once you have your rings stacked up around the splitter one man alone can split a lot of wood.
  24. Apparently it isnt a true 5kw fire, apparently it is placed in a range of 5-8 kw. Sounds a bit strange but its what the dealer said who sold it me. I think it should be classed higher than a 5kw but they have found a way to justify at as so to avoid the need for a room vent.
