  1. Anyone got any updates on these? I bought two and they are not very good. After using them a while, im scepital about how much they actually work anyway but now one has stopped working unless the fire is very hot, progressiley getting worse, think it might pack in altogether soon and the other is going the same way. Nice orniments tho
  2. My sister has a few nags so im going to try some of that horse liniment stuff that was suggested on here and see if that does anything. That stuff stinks so it must be good.
  3. I wish there was a miricle cure for it. I have suffered with tennis elbow for years and recently i managed to fracture my wrist which resulted in having a cast on. I thought that the support of the cast and the obvious rest would benifit my elbow however, it is worst than ever at the moment. I am struggling to even fully straighten my arm let alone any movement which usually aggravates it. I think the cast has supported my wrist but transfered all the strain to my elbow. Its a pisser for sure
  4. Something is a miss. Over tightening the rivets or incorrect spare links are the two obvious things that come to mind.
  5. Ill raise you three rabbits paws and a tartan travel blanket.
  6. I get hit with hefty tax quite often. It happens when i buy tools, go out drinking with my mates, get seen with any cash she wasnt aware of, im in a good mood or she anticipates me being paid. Its very annoying.
  7. These maybe able to get you a brake band for the 028. Dick Leigh Chainsaw Specialists 01254 823578
  8. Pruning trees when in dormancy is often regarded as the best time however pruning when they are activley growing allows them to react imediatley to the damage sustained. Nothing is ever straight forward.
  9. If you/I think about it logically it 'bleeding wounds' could even help to flush out any harmful spores which are omni present in the air while the exposed wood begins to modify. Maybe
  10. Basically the 75mm exception rule is to allow small insignificant self seeded trees to be removed. Thats how i think of it. As Gary says anything else as far as work on trees of a larger dbh than 75mm would require notification regardless. Unless another exception applied, but there is only specific senarios where this is the case.
  11. Yes i thought that too, but wasnt sure what i was looking at in the first pic and just came out with my first thought looking at the last picture. Ignore me, i live in my own world But its ok ......they know me here.
  12. Micks right... again
  13. Looks like a juniper to me.
  14. Check fuel pipe and filter. Hope you get it sorted.
  15. I would agree with that. Or even early summer, i would avoid spring and autumn if possible.
  16. Sorry i may have interpreted that wrong. If you needed to lift private trees over the highway in a con area, you would need to notify the council.
  17. The council is responsible for highway clearance so you need not worry. The 75 mm relates the the stem of the tree and not creation of 75 mm wounds by limb removal.
  18. Two brownie points removed for that remark
  19. Correct. Although i dont agree with brownie points, its just a better more professional way of eveyone getting on with thier work without hassle.
  20. Sorry you said it seems ok in the First post. I would check and double check the carb and gaskets, maybe take exhaust off and have a look at the piston. Prob worth £20 to try a carb.
  21. Just seems suspicious that the issue has started after running out of fuel to think the coil could be at fault? I would think carefully before getting dragged into spending money on a 15 year old blower trying to get it sorted, maybe its time to treat yourself? I would guess on the carb but engine could be tired also, has it good compression?
  22. When they are full of conkers, then the kids drag all the brash away.
  23. I would concentrate on the apparent lack of fuel getting to the cylinder. If it sparks and tries to start with petrol put in cylinder i would look at that issue first and assume the spark is fine. Have you another carb you can try?
  24. No its not, you could have both off in 20 mins. easier with two men tho. Roll and locks only require 4 bolts/brackets to be losend and a couple of screws and they pull apart and lift off, or you can just losen the bolts and two men can lift the whole thing off. roll bar just unbolts. remove yourself, they sell easy on e bay.
