  1. Only PPE equipment has to be CE marked to pass its LOLER inspection. If a peice of PPE equipment has not met certain european standard i.e. not CE marked then it can not be used legally in a working environment. Most equipment produced in the US has met american standards (ANSI marked- American Nattional Standards Institute- I think) then it also has to be tested to european standard by an appointed test centre known as a notified body to be CE compliant.
  2. Im liking the ali body, very neat.
  3. Ill come and collect it, if you pay me £15 a ton.
  4. We have one that we pull behind a 12 ton wagon and that seems a reasonable set up for the size of the chipper. I wouldnt like to try and chip into a little chip box on 3.5 ton vehicle with our chipper. The canters are v good vehicles and are capable of towing the weight, but im my opinion these chippers are to big for a 3.5 van.
  5. You sure got your monies worth out of that one spud

    Sycamore

Trees can be surprisingly resilient. my opinion is that if it isnt causing any risk to anyone then leave it. Great biodiversity, it will probably linger on for decades.
  7. Where are you located?
  8. Far too big of a chipper to pull with a canter, also it will blow the truck away with the force of chip exiting the chute.
  9. that would be the best option.

  12. Ahh one of the greats!
  13. So why did you agree to do it then? Did you tell the council you agreed to work for that you thought the money was low so you would work dangerously and cut corners? Are you a professional arborist that puts yourself and others in danger if the monies is not good? You have a choice what you will or wont work for. From my experience those who are always cutting corners seldom do it because of the money.
  14. I find that larger provides the fastest recovery time of all. Say a swift 5 within an hour and your muscles are completley reformed.
  15. Thats bull sh1t.
  16. Alba is very good. Margeret is very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

  22. I did read something like this. As mentioned before, it wasn't that a rigging qual was needed tho, it was a minimum number of years experience, having a good knowledge of the kit.
  23. are you telling me or is that a question?
  24. thank you. is this for LOLER training? or testing? for some reason i thought treevolution didnt do training anymore?
