  1. So yesterday I smashed my elbow into a stub while starting the little Echo. You know that horrible nerve that sends electric needles down to your third and fourth fingers. Today I did exactly the same thing. I now struggle bend my arm at the elbow. Hence my posting on this thread. Anyone using the 200 battery? Or smaller. I'm not interested in the big 300 battery. How do the smaller ones last? I obviously don't intend to use it for takedowns. Also, what difference is there in the Chargers? Why is it worth buying the £50 or £100 one when I assume the £30 will charge a battery overnight.
  2. The rule at our place is if the groundsman gives it the OK, and the climber comes down and spots a bit, it's the groundy going back up to finish it.
  3. Is that the fart box he was on about?
  4. All goes onto the same pile for me!
  5. Many a true thing said in jest though, eh Huck?
  6. I hope it's the best of both worlds. The power of the 2510, with the size and weight of the 360. They could be onto a winner!
  7. What's wrong with a 50% gob?
  8. Alway good to avoid smashing your elbow into a tree when starting your topper too.
  9. One held mine perfectly well.
  10. Never does, until the Mrs checks your credit card statement.., Too soon bro, too soon
  11. Very good. I thought Plogs had got hold of your keyboard for a second there...
  12. What's the initial for when you spike up a tree with a length of three strand coiled over your shoulder to top it?
  13. TM elastic, through TM gear tubing, through Marlow Boa cover with the core removed. Glad I finally found a use for that horrible cord.
  14. Armor Prus.
  15. Couple of the more successful ones of today.
  16. Because if you're any good you won't be spending much time between cuts...
  17. On an 18mm rigging line I would think 8mm would be too thin though. Why on earth a person would want to use 18mm line for zipping is beyond me though!
  18. If you insist on buying new cord, that would work fine. A klemheist would be a good knot. Seems a waste not to put all those old hitch cords that are retired but can't bring myself to throw away to good use though!
  19. Hi Felix. I use discarded hitch cord from climbing for tensioning zip lines. Usually around 70cm eye to eye cords, just put as many wraps as you can on. Can get a photo if it would help?
  20. Went Redwood climbing with Tommy B today. Is that a cat in the neighbouring Fir? Also popped into Spuds workshop. The ported 357 got a quick tweak and the 660 is getting the full steroid package. Nice to put a face to a name after all this time!
  21. Unless you're cutting manageable lumps, so no need to descend. Then the only benefit is the quick bail out. Let's face it, on a small birch, not anissue.
  22. I'm guessing you're used to the feeling by now.
  23. Because I don't like being on debt. And money sat in my account has a habit of getting spent. Our viewpoints are likely uncomparable with me being PAYE and you being a business owner though.
