  1. Rather annoyingly for me (441 owner) this is the way to go. The 441 (and 372) are great saws, but neither pull a 25" like the 460. It's one of the best saws for power to weight I've ever used, and the only saw I've used to date that handles it's max bar length so well.
  2. Thought it was "defamation". It's the only thing I can safely contribute to this thread.
  3. It's a highly kept secret, reserved for those elite few who have access to £4.99 and an Amazon account. One day, Joe, one day...
  4. If he's got any sense he'll think me a miserable prick.
  5. On the opposing team: Sometimes you just have a rubbish day, and it's important to have a good bitch about it. Vitriol has real medicinal value. Constantly positive people creep me the hell out.
  6. Most places take card, but you might get a better deal with cash. What you buying Jamie?!
  7. It's great isn't it. I started reading this thread with interest, until it turned into a political socio economic topic
  8. Yeah you can, but can be hard to find. Nod at Treeworker imports it, and splices too. I'm climbing on orange & blue Tachyon, which I like. Not particularly stretchy with a top anchor.
  9. Tree work ain't about looking cool mate. Wait, that's exactly what it's about.
  10. Zigzag is for nancy boys who can't tie a knot
  11. No worries, if you get trouble sourcing a stihl bar (I rate the 10") PM me and I'll get a price for ordering it and sending it over, should avoid import tax that way.
  12. Hi mate, As long as the 2510 is running a 1/4" sprocket and not the 3/8" then the Stihl 0.043 (MS150) bar will be a straight fit. The 10" Stihl bar requires 1 extra DL, I don't know about the 12" bar though.
  13. Velocity or blaze are both true 11mm ropes. Very light, and should work with a 9mm prussik. Velocity is a lovely line.
  14. Dunno mate. When I got mine I took the time to adjust it properly, and I wear mine low. I hate the idea of a harness hugging your lower back. That said, my colleague wears his like that, and still seems to rate it. I reckon he's probably not getting the most out of it, but it don't seem to bother him, so fair enough.
  15. Haha I guess you'll wear it however works best. As I understand it it was designed to sit low to give better range of movement. Never had the sweat problem really.
  16. Not far off. Like I said, below the hips.
  17. Cheers dude, looks pretty handy. I'll get splicing some friction cord!
  18. That'd be great if you could mate, looks pretty versatile.
  19. Nice vid dude. Interested to see a few configurations of that pinto setup. The spliced eye on the crab end in the photo looks fairly baggy.
  20. The TM shouldn't be anywhere near your back?! It's designed to be worn below your hips.
  21. I take it back, you clearly don't have to be that switched on to use one!
