  1. I tend to bitch and moan about whatever injury is affecting me. It works. Also keep making a note to go to the physio but keep putting it off. They seem to go away in their own time. Then again I'm only fifteen.
  2. You could put the bottom of the tether on the top of the zz using a small d shackle so you'd still have a attachment point?
  3. Looks decent enough. Where did your Mrs order it from?
  4. How much was it? To be honest it'll pay for itself no matter what.
  5. Where'd you get that from Peter? What cut do you use, and what marinade?
  6. Do people really have a problem confusing steel rigging crabs for ally climbing ones?
  7. 90% of our rigging can be done with a swing cheek pulley, 12mm line and capstan. £250 The big stuff doesn't come out that often. A light setup like that is seriously tough (if you have decent ground lads) and will handle anything but big stem rigging.
  8. He probably didn't imagine a bunch of hairy arsed wood cutters would be such a bunch of delicate wee petals...
  9. The lads getting a bit of stick for no reason. What a friendly welcome! Back off gents.
  10. Like I said, I reckon both have their merits. If you'd had a little topper you could have just refuelled it! I'll definitely be getting one (probably the Stihl). It'll be interesting to see which one gets used more.
  11. Off the top of my head: big conny stripping, multiple small tree dismantles, pollards, re pollards. I recently did a huge lapsed Pop pollard. 30yrs re growth, 14" dia cuts. All had to be cut small or rigged over targets, lines, road etc. took 2+ days. Can't see a battery lasting a full day like that. Edit: and "testing my elbow" should have read "twatting my elbow"
  12. Dunno Mick. To be honest my big boy topper only comes out on decent takedowns now. I reckon there's a place for both. I'm looking to get a battery topper after testing the same elbow twice in 2 days starting the Echo in the tree. As I see it the e-topper would be king for those jobs where there's s lot of time between cuts, but not too much saw work to be done. The mini petrol ones are grand for high intensity small cuts. Plus your e-topper is still heavier than my combustible echo.
  13. To be honest Mick, I'm not at all that bothered. They're handling it far better than some companies. I've been so impressed with the saw that I'm not about to throw my toys out and get a 150.
  14. Get rid of that 310 and you'll be halfway there!
  15. Don't seem to be having much luck here mate PPP it back on eBay, you might well turn a profit.
  16. In Seventhdevil's defense the piss taking is unwarranted. He's just trying to find a good home for it. 3 cows lost their life's for that jacket, after all.
  17. Ha wouldn't touch that saw mate! Don't know who's more daft. I don't really need more than 2 of them.
  18. I also imagine replacement parts will be hard to find
  19. Why does it matter Al, is it not going back?
  20. Most tree workers have their own chipper. It's the type that want to rent one for a day you need to ask about.
  21. Good to know about the 8 pin. My66 is with Spud atm. Changed back to7 on the 441 though. You still running 8 on that? Nice job by the way
  22. That the 30" bar on the 66? Looks smaller than that. How you finding the new sprocket?
  23. You gonna keep me hanging or share your secret? It best not be two leans on the end of a bit of friction cord or I'll be massively underwhelmed!
