  1. you can have my 130 for £15k Jon
  2. Can't argue with that. This is the whole reason I am considering a pig ugly Ibex with a cummins in it.
  3. Varying figures about Jon Boost on mine is set between 1.25-1.4 bar Allard were claiming nearly 170hp and just under 300lb/ft I go by how it performs not what the figures say it should be I am still thinking about a new ibex with mounts for a cummins 6 cylinder
  4. Hi Jon Slightly more boost, but need to get gauge fitted to see exactly where it is, the engine has done about 25k since it was rebuilt when I rebuilt the truck, torque should be somewhere around 250-260lb/ft @1400rpm but it's hard to find figures for this actual kit.
  5. Unless it's been uprated it has a terrible towing capacity, 2000kg iirc
  6. Is basing a pickup on a Navara a good idea ? I have rarely heard a good word said about them, do they still blow engines ?
  7. I certainly wouldn't be a turf grower/supplier/layer again, one screwed up body later. I originally wanted to be a marine engineer or join the RN, I got sidetracked into turf working weekends as a boy at it, and it progressed into full time employment when I was told there was a full time job for me when I left school if I wanted it, back in 1982 it was exceptionally good pay for a school leaver so took it. I really should learn to say NO.
  8. The improvement is right across the range but yes low down torque is much better. The intercooler, turbo and silicon hoses came to £1530 inc VAT and postage. I need to tweek the IP a bit as yet, I think from todays running it will be a fair bit juicier, but that was running it with the boost pin at it's fullest, I have taken it back a bit this afternoon, that said they were also very heavy loads today. Will be interesting to see if it effects long term reliability. The only thing I am not impressed with is the oil return pipe setup, it uses a silicon hose and jubilee clips, I will probably alter that to a proper shielded flexible pipe in time.

  11. Well I finally have a VNT turbo and full width intercooler fitted to the 130 300tdi, what a difference, it now pulls much harder than before and far less gear changing, even managed to go up through some gears fully loaded up hills. Was a load of faffing about though, I Couldn't recommend Allard to anyone after the way they performed, they told me 5 days and nearly 3 weeks later still nothing, cancelled the order and had to chase them to refund my money, ended up getting both from Allisport, was a doddle to fit except the oil drain which was an absolute bitch. All in all not a cheap upgrade but well worth it if you do a lot of hard towing.
  12. I done that once and only once. the grinder grabbed hold of the ring and lifted the grinder (bandit 2100) clean up and jammed the ring under the machine Nice machine though, Bandit stuff is very well made
  13. Stuff the V8 Put a proper lump in it Jon [ame=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxKFu_wb0Gg][/ame]
  14. That was my first thought arc eye is probably the worse thing I have ever had with my eyes, far worse than the crap I have had in them. like someone has thrown sand in them
  15. Have you actually driven the truck, and does it use water ? Without looking the correct figures up those seam to be very low compression figures for a diesel.
  16. Could be a messy collection If they get it cleared good luck to them I say
  17. Obscure enough for you ?
  18. I thought it was illegal to use chains like that now ? But I stand to be corrected
  19. Will if you put your tongue on it
  20. I will try find time to speak to knott technical tomorrow. Put this to bed hopefully Although either way blocks won't hurt
  21. AA is one of the few that don't worry about vehicle age. But why are you buying a truck you are worried about doing 300 miles in one hit ?
  22. I have tried a 420 and it couldn't pull the skin of a rice pudding. I thought a 520 or 528 may fit, it will have a dirt bucket on, it can overhang a little bit, as long as the wheels are on The bucket could possibly be stored somewhere on the trailer.
  23. Nibbler only tells you if your site is SEO friendly, if your keywords aren't right then you will still get crap results. Looking into it further I wouldn't personally put too much faith into nibblers results, it says we are not registered on foursquare and we have been for ages, and we are not on google+ which we are and have a load of reviews as well, but the previous time it found us on google+, but some suggestions will help.
  24. Mine are adjusted and bearing play checked every 3 months along with other checks on them, stripped rarely with no set pattern or when there is a problem, which I admit is not great.
  25. Just out of interest Dean If you look at page 3 of this pdf, I can see how it could be possible to apply the front and rear shoe fully, which would explain why the handbrake pulls up more as the trailer rolls back ? Or am I missing something ?
