  1. Same ply rated as agri tread for that machine. But need good driving skills as like on ice when it's a bit wet. Used more for garden work then forestry but when needs must it gets used, have been quoted about £100 a corner for agri grip tyres and wheels.
  2. I built my own after buying grab and rotator for RSL engineering.
  3. Hydraulic one all day long when in gardens with tight access or a lot of tree weaving. Also holds its position if you need to knock a it of brash into place.
  4. It can't be as clean as they make out, as bio mass is wet and only want us to burn dry wood 15% moisture or something near that no way can bio mass be that low.
  5. Looks a tidy truck, look after it and make a profit when you sell it.
  6. For the Gun hoe Tree Surgeon.
  7. Think the clutch was the weak point if not respected. Couple of farms near me had them as plough tractors in the 80, remember see one drag a 8 wheeler out of a field that thing would pull. Hydraulics had high flow rate compared to other tractors of its time.
  8. Great saw got 2 one is a 1987 model and the other is 1990 something both have different ignition modules the older one is 2 part. The older one has 15'' bar and 8 tooth sprocket it flies through wood at some point will put it up against a husky 560xp.
  9. They need to look at what they are building and think is it going to put up with day in day out work. There cad and computer design team need to look at how stuff has been built in the passed and work well. Years ago stuff was tested to destruction before going on the market dose this happen now or do they get Tree surgeon to try them and comment on them. I know a lad how welded up chippers for a company well known by all of us on here and gave up working for them when they told him not to double weld weak points.
  10. So all good, but along time to wait for new replacement. And how will land up with you old one or maybe they will put new modified part on and a new lick of paint and you get it back.
  11. Bought a Bosch GDS 18v 300 impact wrench a couple of months ago should have bought one along time ago the time it has saved is amazing. Quicker wheel changing, flails on hedge cutter, and working on land rover today it was great.
  12. Come on, it wasn't a good specimen to start with, old coppice stool he could of reduced it better. Also £250 for a couple of hours work for a gang of 2 his on good money if his doing 3 or 4 a day.
  13. Lock down brings on tip sites by the look of the numbers posted last night,
  14. Plastic in line fitter can have air in and will not affect the running of engine.
  15. . When you change filters no need to bleed just to ignition on and let pump pump until note of it changes.
  16. Timberwolf's have 2 filters have you changed both and have you fitted the inline one the right way around, but probable would affect cold starting as well. Once it is warm how hard is it to turn flywheel by hand if little or no resistance it could be a compression problem with engine, if it has little compression could be anything from loose injector to head gasket. Could be easier to get good fitter to look at it is Kubota engine fitted to a lot of plant.
  17. That picture was took a little while ago as leafs were still on it when felled and i am guessing owner wants it gone, can not see timber merchant wanting it as to knotty. Just crack on and firewood it hard work if you can not get big machine near it to cart away or brake it down, that's tree work some times.
  18. That on the front of mog, isn't that crane feed only.
  19. Good point made there Bob, other thing to consider is can you get machinery near weld in first place if not longer leads or big extension lead needed. I ve got a 200amp petrol Mosa in shed and have 10m leads to reach outside on site welds run grinder drills, have even ran house on it when we had no power for 4 days do to storm made it grunt when emersion water heater was on and someone switched kettle on as well.
  20. This stuff biodegrades so just speed it up with some uv light and water.
  21. Got a question has your chipper be running at full capacity for long periods of time, like feed control cutting in all the time.
  22. That's with 1 pass if you are welding loader bracket on should multi pass weld any way. My brother has a sip 160amp runs on 13amp plug great little machine can set it up and weld plate together and it looks like its been Tig welded.
  23. 200amp inverter welder is probably the best route to go small and powerful easy to use,
  24. Haha when they work they are great, when they don't there as much use as a wet box of matches when lighting a fire. Glad I still run a 150 as go's on and on easy to work on. Had my 18/100 in a garden be for Christmas and line cutters trimmed trees in garden, they could not get there 230 in garden I chipped everything they cut off they couldn't believe what it chipper and quick.
  25. Yes the 150 was a game changer but you miss understood, I was on about tracked as this is how the thread started. So when you are in that league of chipper you will need trailer ticket to tow of you are young one.
