  1. Barbed wire is a waste of time on a fence and should never be put at the bottom, over many years of living near a farm and working on them if cattle are determined or spooked they will go through it and farmer lands up with big vet bill. All pro fencers any tie off at the beginning and then at the end, have seen over 800m passing around corners and just tied off either side of the gate.
  2. On going job of clearing over grown shrubs and tree's. Also took a picture of old Oak tree must be about 9ft across trunk.
  3. I can't see the point of stage V engines in a 6inch capacity chipper as most only run a couple of hours a day any way.
  4. Teeth space is a minor factor, if it's 38mm gap they need to be 38mm long as well.
  5. Are all of them timberwolf chippers, if so that answers your question.
  6. They did have but not at the moment, had a few before new year because I looked and I think Redwood had a couple but not now must be a popular machine.
  7. There's a lot to be said about running two machines that are the same, 1 lot of spare blades sharp, engine filters and you know how they run and perform and so on.
  8. Last 2 could be Pear, if you say it heavy.
  9. But you still have to use them right way around so you make piece being removed.
  10. It has been pollarded of sorts before and then as said reduced 5 years ago by tip prune. I would reduce back to between old prune cuts, so it still has a bit of shape.
  11. As it is going to be used mainly for that job which is seasonal I would go for Echo because of warranty of 5 years if you put it as domestic.
  12. Look at work Tuesday and home owner was cutting grass when I turned up and then another on Friday but he is ex-footballer so likes his grass.
  13. Were the hell are they from never seen that guarantee.
  14. Have a talk to RSL engineering I think they have made them if not they probably will.
  15. Isn't it all about based on were work is, householder would not want a big truck parked in drive and not on the side of road because we all like get as near to a job as we can, and no point only half filling a big truck day in day out. A lot of people ask me why I run a landy 130 that's because a lot of my work is off road and no other truck will do what that can.
  16. Has anyone on here used Dura posts for close board fencing, and if so are they as good as they say. DuraPost WWW.BIRKDALESALES.COM DuraPost creates a stylish, secure and strong framework for virtually any type of fencing. DuraPost is guaranteed for up to 25 years and made from galvanised steel. Find out more today.
  17. Be there done that, licences is the best to get.
  18. Can you not trim it up free stile, to mill it with the bar you have you would only need longer bar to cut middle slabs anyway.
  19. Looks like it has been reduced before, maybe do to 1987 storm damage seen some reports just lately on trees were reports mention, it was a shame tree was reduced years ago, but what they didn't know was it had major storm damage and it was only way to retain tree.
  20. If they have TPO I would of thought re-pollarded would not be aloud, so thin and shape best options but also carried out at the right time of the year is another critical fact to keeping them in good health.
  21. As long as they are re-pollarded back to truck and not half do like you see most of the time and they call it pollard. Lovely trees, I cut a beech back hard about 6 years ago now and trim re growth back by thinning every couple of years.
  22. Got a old 200 pto and it looks slow, but it just keeps pull stuff in, doesn't like dead wood spits it back out.
  23. No and No again. How to give Chiropractor work. If my splitter was that slow I would get the axe out but thank god its faster.
  24. I think some company's are use it to there advantage, after 9 weeks wait for a part I emailed them about it got delivered 2 days later. They were tanaka parts.
  25. So can you use thump mount for strut for grab strut or do you have to add another.
