  1. Petrol is what I use. And I use extra tacky as well I do tend to have oil supply turned up to max unless saw is running a very short bar.
  2. Have use gator oil for about 4 years with no problems in cold weather but I do fush oil tank regularly and make sure filter is clean makes all the difference as I have saws that get a lot of use with bars over 8 years old.
  3. With a thump no messing about changing from bucket to grab just use bucket that is fitted or just change to bucket or rake for the day's job.
  4. More weight you put on end of boom less you will lift, and all depends on length of timber that diameter.
  5. Another Lime this morning, don't do any for a long time then have a run of them still got 2 others to do.
  6. There is no point in fitting it wrong to a saw and filming it in a hurry and making it look crap.

  13. My old boss had a lyte ladder was a good ladder until a winch rope cut it in half. I use an Altex rocky combination 3 section which also turns up step ladder which is taller then any tripod steps.

  15. Was clearing scrub on a job years ago, when customer brought out a cupper got talking and turns out the owners before them had shed brocken in to and all garden tools pinched. Carried on clearing and got to were it was thicker and saw a piece of carpet cleared around and lifted it and there was a chainsaw, turns out it was 10 years it had been there with new fuel it started.

  17. I don't, but have been roped in on a couple of builds and roofed a large barn many years ago for someone i know that someone else had started and got it a bit wrong. You could try QMS they were near me but moved to Bromley. They were always rushed of there feet but if I needed something welded or drilled they were always happy to help.   18. 6m to the eaves that's high no point having it to high as wasted height you may never use, higher the build more rain will drive through any openings. Are you after quotes for building frame?
  19. If done in the 1940's probably built right and level. Will logs be loss or crated.
  20. You can use any type of wood for binders. I have even used untreated roof battens land owner had laying around. Just use like a rail threaded around stakes.
  21. I have and still use flail hedge cutter and have used them on slopes were I have had to put arm on ground to stop whole lot tipping over.
  22. That cutter on compact has some reach by the look of that boom.
  23. Timberwolf 18/100 if brash is straight and very robust.
  24. You should be able to take a photo with phone and save to Google photos which can them see on Google photos on laptop, find it great go to look at jobs and take photos and they go to google photos so when pricing just use laptop and can look at photos with out looking at phone as well.
