We use large muck fork design for telehandler on loader tractor it's 7ft wide so clears a good path. -

Plant a hawthorn hedge years ago for a customer, plants were 60cm tall with massive root's once planted she said can you cut them back so we decide to cut them 4 inches high. Well what a hedge after about 5 years.

you need to evaluate what machine will suit sites you are going to work on, if large sites then big tractor if small blocks for woodland than small kit works well, also how far travel involved easy to put digger or small loader on trailer and move it about. A piece of machinery is no good with out a good driver.

I have come across it in stihl chain more recently. My old boss got a new chain, . 404 for a big saw and all the teeth on one side of the chain were hard is hell on file would look at it he took at back, turned out the whole roll was like it.

Don't know what the difference between them is, but my 18/100 had a Kohler triad which had no pull start and gave up the go last year so fitted a Briggs with pull start and as it is back up chipper and only gets used very little battery is aways flat but not a problem with pull start. Just needs the effort to start it.

Finnish trellising got fed up with tying 170 ends off by the end of the afternoon. Any bird that wants to fly through it is going to be good at aerobatics.

If only to pull the odd tree on jobs, why not rig a 12v winch and a frame with an anchor or have it on what ever attachment you use with a couple of good pins and connect it to battery with anderson plug.

Use one as well I borrow off someone I know, but it has it's limit as it is no way as good as new ones with telly boom bit, Have used tracked one bit bigger then others with same capacity.

Compact tractor with loader maybe cheaper then Compact loader and can be used for more jobs, years ago I used a John deere compact with loader to push up brash from hedge clearing job that thing moved a lot of brash. The customer that owned it used to for mowing horse paddocks and other job around small holding.
