  1. Saturday afternoon or Sunday no sign written truck 🤫
  2. Why should he do the search, it's the person how wants work done job then contact him with all the right paperwork saying permission has been granted. If both parties agree work can be done just crack on with it.
  3. They are good at chipping conifer, need to be sharp as othes have said. The comment I put in your other post, about a conifer hedge it was a 10 day job and about 40t of wood chip all done with a 125 and 1set of blades.
  4. They are only a foot across. Hornbeam is about the same.
  5. Been asked would it be possible it coppice tree's in an area of woodland I work on, the area was planted 30 odd years ago mixture of oak, sweat chest, hornbeam, lime and Ash all in blocks. So was thinking of coppicing part of a block something like 30 trees, was going to do it with the Limes as probably the trees in the worst condition on site. Do you think they are to old to do.
  6. They do take some getting use to, but are handy on some work find it good when in MEWP aslo working on river bank and you can only cut from one side. Got mine on a husky 362xp.

The one I used years ago was to chip conifers, they were about 50ft tall had about 20 foot of growth when last topped and about 4 inches across. Straight fell them and cut of regrowth and just put it in hopper, it dragged it in no problem.
  8. 83dog make a lot of noise someone must of heard something. Let's hope they are all OK and now get the right treatment, the dogs I mean.

They are a good chipper used one years ago there's a company I know of used them for years and still run a couple of them and never stepped up to a 150 or even any other make. Better of with one with overrun brakes /handbrake as make it easier moving it about by hand.
  11. Near me there was a jcb telehander stolen with tracker it was found 12 miles from were it was stolen by police they then left it for finger prints to be found by forensic, owner was told he couldn't pick it up from were it had been found and by the time forensic got there it had been take again and track left at side of were it had stood. Would like to know the out come of that one, and I do no he has a new telehander now.
  12. About 18 years ago I was involved in the coppice of old Hazel over 12 inches across which was going to be managed on a regular basis, it wasn't and is now got stems 9-12 inches across. It did take time to get going though.
  13. When you say lift panel out will there be gravel board to get over.
  14. Isn't the idea behind brick paving you can lift up sections and relay, so maybe cheaper to get quote to repair after job but it will be an unknown.
  15. Is it same tree in every picture, not that big if that's a 3 or 4 ton digger. Would of thought big MEWP would take strain out of job with quicker rigging and clogging down.
  16. It can be done but it will cost. Contact a specialist got a quote and guarantee of no damage then everyone covered. May have to tell clients to sit down with stiff drink first. 40t crane why one so big, going to lift it in one.
  17. Knew someone would mention the C word in this thread some.
  18. Stihl make a Paddy saw which is battery so even bigger
  19. I also knew of a place that had a dog kennel in yard with a chain coming out of it and back in, he never had a dog but they had to chance there luck to find out.
  20. That’s probably the best thing to do as a lot of people have been attacked trying to stop things. Pictures take with camera or phone is best what I have found is that type if people don't like there picture took by hand held camera or a bright flash going off.
  21. Can you fence and gate area container will stand in.
  22. I have a RSL grab on my Tobroco Giant its a 1ton version with rotator, very well built and they will build what ever you want.
  23. Can you not afford the boots to finish off the look. Not using window cleaner ladder either.
  24. Have never had to remove them but have had bolts on machinery which heads have be rounded off, find the easiest way is to go down through a nut and bolt thread rather then across it and have it spin round and round. Or if access is tight for grinder drill bolt thread out of nut but then you have to hold bolt to stop it spinning but no sparks is the benefits of doing it like that.
  25. Just imagine being a honey bee out on first day from hive and seeing that, you would find first car being driven and fly into windscreen.
