They used Perkins as well right from the old P6. But like most old timber tractors any engine that fitted went in. My old boss had a Bedford QL that had a Bmc 6 cylinder in.

Would always use my climbing harness, as once got stuck in a Mewp and no one on the ground could sort out problem, So landed up coming down on rope once I changed for full harness to climbing, and as said how many have found it easier to climb out.

When have you seen a driving instructor using a big 4x4 as there learner car. All ways cheap to run car and basic, so if teaching someone to tow a trailer why have top of the range.

When ever a question like this comes up, people always ask what tyres you running, lot cheaper to change tyres then invest in truck to get off grass verge.

Cleared dead pines and thinned sycamore and sweet chestnut over a couple of years. Now customer what's to sell timber, firewood bloke we have delt with in past is giving up so not interested. Thinking best get company in with big chipper and bio it, most of it is 3m lengths 12 to 16 inches across approx 50t. Big problem is access is not good, anyone know of a company that would be interested as firewood or bio near Essex Suffolk border.

Spray off any vegetation before doing anything. Brake up ground if compacted or just do to give plant a better start.

There is a couple of them on the market that are legal to move on trailer behind pickup and still have a good lift capacity.

Had to travel across some council ground about 3 years ago and had to get permission and it was granted with conditions, all vehicles tyres had to be disinfected when arriving and departing. Nothing about footwear or tools.
