  1. Just wait for bruising to come out. Just take it easy, most frustrating when you are active.
  2. Looks like some lovely metal railing in there, cut everything down to ground level in front of them and plant up behind.
  3. Think Guy did a bit of work for Richard until he got settled in the area. Guy lives in 1 of proberts cottages rents some yard area and works in the woodland as well as across East anglia. All willows though that valley are cut by 2 of Richards lad Colin and Perry felled bat willow since they left school.
  4. You lot are thinking of the same chap but wrong name , Richard Fordham he past away last year but company is still being ran by the lads that worked for him. Cut all the willows in the stour valley for Wright's..
  5. Philip Liverton is probably you best bet at short notice, as got a big fleet of them but they are big tractors but also compact set ups. Agricultural Contracting | Philip Liverton Ltd WWW.LIVERTONLTD.CO.UK Or Jonathan Doe 07860 314240 Runs a set up with big flail head and he is owner driver.
  6. I would not both but this could work, you would need to talk to them direct to get an answer. UHDS36-50WR 36"[91cm] GB Lo Pro Milling Bar[Double Slot] Husky K095 WWW.CHAINSAWBARS.CO.UK UHDS36-50WR 36"[91cm] GB Lo Pro Milling Bar[Double Slot] Husqvarna K095 Mount 3/8 Lo Pro .050 114 drive links. 7. If you use diamond blade do you need the 14'' one. If the husqvarna has less vibration is it that mounts are softer, I have a makita and mounts are very soft job to keep it cutting straight, but little vibration. If local dealer want drop price to match other dealer you now were to go.
  8. Moved some lumps of Oak for the last time today, only been meaning to mill then for about 5 years. So made a plan to make a start today and was very happy with first cut.
  9. Just use your current blades as templates shouldn't be far out. Radius is set by grind stone.
  10. It's got to be handy for people work a long way from home it want to get shot of it rather than take it home. Not that many near me on Essex /Suffolk border but have my own drop off sites which cover most of my work area.
  11. If you treat the wood has to be non spirit based. As long as they can land and then get in and shelter from draft it makes no difference what it looks like,
  12. Barn Owl boxes for trees - The Barn Owl Trust WWW.BARNOWLTRUST.ORG.UK Barn Owl boxes in buildings are better than nestboxes in trees...
  13. My 150 lost half of a fin about 10 years ago, have never bothered about changing it and it gets a hard life. When bearings start to make a noise them will strip it and replace.
  14. How much has fin lost.
  15. Should of said one tree that had massive decay in limb could of been seen with small ladder even one of those telescopic ones, and that tree was inspected by a big company which sent parish council a 28 page report on it.
  16. Climbing tickets maybe a good thing as to many tree surveys I have read and then done work on the trees the survey has missed lots of things.
  17. There must be an idiot in the country somewhere selling them.
  18. Glue as mentioned above, I have used steel pins made from threaded rod or long bolts with heads cut off.
  19. The best thing you can do is get in contact with timberwolf and express the problem you have had, on your list of parts from them it may have how picked it and this will be a key part to what has gone wrong.
  20. Which dealer did you use, as have found some give timberwolf a bad name do to the service dealer gives. There is a thread on here somewhere telling people how to fit bearings properly, a new chipper bearings last for along time so if fail after 40 hours they were fitted wrong. Also have seen manual update by other manufacturers with vast changes.
  21. I got a call Friday morning from a old stable yard were I have done some fencing and tree work, asking could I repair a stable did think it was a wined up but no pony had bent metal railings between sectional stables.
  22. Also good length of rope and a couple of pulleys to pull odd tree if needed.
  23. I am not the only one to mention trailer, so don't just point out what I have said and no one else. You now what business you want to take on and what ground to get across its up to you to decide what you get but £8000 should buy you something decent,
  24. Trailers are the best bit of kit you can have, take up no more room then truck to store, can increase your carrying capacity by 3x depending on truck towing it. You can tow a fair size chipper with average size van and if job is so big will probably have extra drivers available anyway.
