  1. Parked my 130 alongside a new Ford ranger wildtrak the other day bloody hell there long.

  3. Its sound like there is a problem in ignition switch when you turn it to start its dropping the first live connection. Just wire it through s switch and see.

You have checked every possible problem by the sound of it, main chassis earth would also affect other things like lights, radio going off had this problem with the 1 under cab which pass through terminal on chassis, put a extra lead from engine to body work. I would just straight wire solenoid from battery via a switch and see.
  5. What is the fuel level in the tank like when this is happening. If low you maybe looking at the wrong thing could be lift pump not got enough push.
  6. Can not see the point of fencing with out a loader on tractor everything gets moved quicker. Why I asked was if you were going to fit loader best to see availability of loaders for the tractors you are looking at.
  7. Would you be fitting a loader to your new tractor.
  8. John Deere 6400 is a 4 pot and he wants a 6 pot tractor.
  9. Sounds like ignition switch problem, had same problem with old 2.5 diesel land rover and it would also cut out when driving along, was terminal on back of ignition switch put wire on spare terminal which was live on ignition when turned to position 1 and stayed live until switch off.
  10. Did a boundary fence for farm at the back of some buildings, 2.1m finished height used 3m posts bore hole to start them them drive them in and then back filled and rammed soil were I bored some I could not drive as ground was so hard.
  11. Get a piece of thick steel plate and get someone to cut a 120mm hole in it then weld a length of chain to it, drop it over top of post and as you lift it will grip post the harder you pull the more it will grip.
  12. Some models have that problem. Farmer near me runs a case jx95 on a Bryce sumo post driver handle's it OK but I hate the gear box on it.
  13. Case 5130 has electrics which can be a problem New Holland 7840 the basic model tractors from the 90s not easy to find most been exported. If you are going to go bigger with everything you tow and post driver may want to consider going more than 100hp.
  14. Been snowing lightly for couple of hours, saw the news and 4x4 to the rescue not may people saying gas guzzlers polluting things.
  15. Wind has got up here and blowing snow about. Not bothered as hedge cutting on tractor tomorrow will take a lot of snow to stop.
  16. Are you sure the start is not staying engaged with fly wheel turning it in to an alternator, this happened to a tractor I use when being used on a local farm being driven by student burnt the whole wiring loom in the end.

  18. Have used chain swipe, flail and rotary blade mower. Chain swipe it will go through any thing with out a problem hit a butler sink with a Worlsey jungle buster years ago smashed the sink to pieces. Flail have limited reach out the back of tractor and a lot of money. Pictures show a field I cleared last year which was re-growth 4 years old Brambles, Goat willow, Silver birch, Blackthorn all trees were 4inch dia Machine used was a Mcconnel Rhino 6 on a Fendt 304 which was backed over everything .

  20. Farmer near me had quad trailer and mower took from locked container in locked barn, and CCTV . entered and exited via back fields and even cut hole in hedge and 3 fences to get access. If they want it they will get it.
  21. If you take a vehicle for MOT and it has a major fault you need your ass kick for presenting it for MOT.
  22. Thought that was the case with major faults at the moment as I had a fail on landy 2 years ago and was told to drive home only and get it repaired.

  24. 1987 Husky 61 cost £300 then, cracking saw and still use it sometimes for a bit of logging.
  25. First 2 pictures lime tree in Nayland. Picture 3 is Sycamore which is just in Lt Horkseley so probably the tree you think it is, you will know next time you drive that way.
