  1. hope you did inside as well most landys rust inside to out.
  2. That would make an interesting line in court if it dose fail in the time it takes them to sort out paperwork.
  3. That's exactly the problem I'm having at the moment, highways inspector spots a problem, out comes cc tree office - hmm yes that tree and the next need to be removed as a problem - landowner being the MOD have a bit more public duty of care so agree to have the work done - we price it and get the order to do it and organise the closure as its vertually a single track road and need to set a mewp up on it. 8 months on I'm still trying to get a date sorted to close the road to do it and the bill before we turn up will be over 1500 for charges and tm - really annoying thing is its same office that highlighted the need for the work thats making it difficult to get on and do it. Could get interesting if the tree actually fails and hurts someone while we are shuffling paper! You should be able to get an emergency closure to get the job done. Failing that just borrow a couple of tanks should did the job.
  4. It will be. Also I heard that examiner's have got to read a 900 odd page document on it.
  5. MOT exempt but still got to be roadworthy like every vehicle that has to have an MOT its up to owner to keep it that way from 1 mot to the next.
  6. I know emergency closure needs no warning. But these are road works and then no one turns up to do anything or BT to put s cable across road and still closed after job has been done 2 days later.
  7. Many times near me you drive down a road 1 day and find it closed the next with no pre warning.
  8. They should work according to spec given to them by timber wolf I would of thought. Big question is will they lend a machine while yours is being mended.
  9. Chipper doctor would probably know. But can someone clarify if he has retired.
  10. Mot ed landy 130 the other week and spoke to examiner about new regs he said about time they were up date but still not classified classes enough, explained a campvan he had there which grossed at 7 Ton only had to have a class 4 test and an ambulance to which weighs 5 ton and my truck is 3.5 ton and class 7.
  11. If he was not at work why should you be. Had a customer how would ring and say can you come and look at some work now which would be every time I would sit down for tea, so would say be there in an hour then next time a day and sow on he got the message. The world is full of them and we meet them.
  12. What about a 12 volt fuel transfer pump, battery and a solar trickle charge panel.
  13. Have a look at Tobroco Giant web page, there's quite a few fruit growers use the mid range loaders in Britain should be a few second hand ones about. Maybe worth ringing Kirkland machinery 01644843013 the only problem is you are the other end of country.
  14. I know what the rspb states but as soon as you start work in garden birds may fly off and stay at a distance for a will but they soon come back,
  15. If not in tree you are working in just crack on not a lot they can do.
  16. Brits can pollard to last picture is 2 years growth;
  17. If we are going silly now; Just get 2 large bags of leafs and through them on the line should stop all trains until tree is down.
  18. If line is not busy at night maybe worth considering doing it then.
  19. 2 other trees in back ground look closer to line, so good climber should be able to do deal with it.
  20. What i ment it maybe easier to ring them up.
  21. Nice looking pup is that an unusual colour??
  22. Saw swallows on Essex Suffolk boarder last week. Also heard Cookcoo but not heard it again.
  23. Surely Timberwolf technical should be able to shed some light on what the problem is.
  24. Have never heard of bull bar being removed as not standard fitting. Better got my spanners out and remove winch off the front of landy 130 as its got an MOT tomorrow.
